Job Title: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Rare Diseases
Overview:The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Rare Diseases will serve as a key scientific resource, bridging the gap between the company and the medical/scientific community in the field of rare diseases. This role is crucial in fostering relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to advance scientific knowledge and support patient care in rare disease areas.

Scientific Expertise:
- Serve as a scientific expert in assigned rare disease therapeutic areas
- Stay current with the latest scientific and medical developments in rare diseases
- Provide scientific support to internal teams, including clinical development, medical affairs, and commercial teams

- Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with KOLs in the rare disease community
- Facilitate scientific exchange and gather insights on unmet medical needs and treatment challenges in rare diseases
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from HCPs regarding rare disease therapies
- Develop and deliver scientific presentations on rare diseases and related treatments
- Assist in the identification of potential clinical trial sites and investigators for rare disease studies
- Provide scientific support to clinical trial teams and sites
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align scientific strategies with business objectives
- Contribute to the development of medical and scientific communication materials
- Attend and participate in relevant scientific conferences and medical congresses
- Gather and disseminate key scientific insights to internal stakeholders
Education:Advanced degree required (Ph.D., PharmD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific field Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, preferably in rare diseases
- Prior MSL experience is highly desirable
- In-depth understanding of rare diseases, their pathophysiology, and current treatment landscapes
- Familiarity with drug development processes and clinical trials in rare diseases
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with KOLs and HCPs
- Ability to interpret and explain complex scientific data
- Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) tools (e.g., Veeva)
