Our Team:
The drug substance development team at Waltham MA is composed of a group of scientists, engineers, and contractors with diverse backgrounds. We design, develop, and scale-up/down processes for mRNA drug substance from research handoff to commercial launch for up to 7 INDs per year with each IND including 1 - 8 drug substances. We foster a fast-paced but fun and uplifting environment.

Main responsibilities:
- The co-op supports the mRNA Drug Substance Development group in Waltham, MA.
- We are seeking an individual with basic laboratory skills and experience, who will be trained to execute experiments to execute mRNA process development studies.
- Completing small-scale buffer preparation.
- Cleaning, setting up, troubleshooting, and sanitizing small-scale process equipment.
- Documenting experiments in electronic lab notebook in an organized manner.
- Compiling and analyzing data, and presenting results to internal and external teams
- Complying withlaboratory safety requirements and standard operating procedures.
- Assisting in maintaining general laboratory functionality, including lab equipment maintenance, and ordering, and receiving of lab supplies
- Limited travels (< 5%)

About you
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, Bioengineering or Biochemistry with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by Spring of 2027
- Must be enrolled in school the semester following your co-op with Sanofi.
- Must be able to relocate to our Waltham, MA office location and work 40hrs/week for the full duration of the co-op
- Must have permanent US work authorization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with filtration, chromatography, and TFF is preferred
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SmartSheet, SharePoint
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to change, be a results-driven problem solve
- Must be curious, eager, open to learning, and independent.
