About the Job
As the Digital Data Governance and Compliance Lead at Sanofi's Consumer Healthcare Business Unit, you will be instrumental in steering our organization's strategic direction in data governance and compliance. With over 10 years of relevant industry experience, including at least the last 5 years focused specifically on data governance and compliance, you bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this critical role. Your responsibilities will center around leveraging Informatica data governance tools such as Data Quality, Data Catalogs, Marketplace and Data Lineage as well as other leading technologies of Informatica, Snowflake, and Power BI.
This position requires a strategic leader capable of developing and enforcing a comprehensive data governance framework, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and enhancing data usability, integrity, and security across the company. Collaborating closely with IT, legal, Data Privacy and other business units, you will optimize our data management practices to support the organization's analytics and decision-making processes, ensuring our data assets are managed as a strategic business resource.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive data governance and compliance framework, utilizing Informatica's suite of data governance tools to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across the organization.
- Lead the integration of data governance tools and technologies such as Master Data, Snowflake, and Power BI to enhance data analytics, reporting capabilities, and decision-making processes.
- Establish and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines that govern the collection, storage, access, and use of data within the company, ensuring alignment with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct detailed data audits and assessments to identify compliance risks, data quality issues, and inefficiencies. Implement corrective measures to mitigate risks and enhance data governance practices.
- Engage with IT, legal, security, and business stakeholders to ensure continuous alignment of data governance activities with business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data protection laws and regulations, providing guidance and advice to ensure all data management activities are compliant.
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in the resolution of data-related issues, driving the adoption of best practices in data management and governance.
- Oversee the response to regulatory inquiries and audits related to data governance and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate compliance reporting.
- Champion the continuous improvement of data governance and compliance processes through the evaluation of emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
- Direct, mentor, and develop a team dedicated to data governance and compliance, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
About you
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or compliance, with a strong background in implementing and managing Informatica data governance tools (e.g., CDQ, CDGC, CDMP).
- Proven expertise in Snowflake, Power BI, and other data governance and analytics tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of data protection laws and regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA), with a track record of implementing effective data compliance programs.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities and experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data governance concepts to a broad audience.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in Informatica data governance tools and technologies.
- Proficiency in Data Management, Snowflake, Power BI, and similar tools.
- Certifications in data privacy (CIPP, CIPM) or data governance (CDMP) are highly desirable.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of detail orientation and organizational skills.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
Languages: English is a MUST
