About the Job:

The newly founded and multiskilled Data & Analytics team aims to deliver data across Opella globally. Located in five different countries, the team is composed of several entities: "MDM & Data Governance", "Advanced Analytics", "Data Modelling & Architecture", and "Program & Operations". TheD&A Delivery & performance Leadwill work within the Data and Analytics organization, leading the day-to-day activities related to data operations, being the main point of contact for projects related to Data in Europe, and partnering with the Strategy and Transformation organization to build governance, strategy and ensuring implementation and execution to become a data-driven organization. The role will report to the Head of Data and Analytics.

Main Responsibilities:

The role covers three main areas:

For theDeliveryand Operations scope, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day activities related to data operations. This includes overseeing release management, transition to standard support following the Operational model, application maintenance & support, communication to data stakeholders, and ServiceNow setup.

For thePerformance, Strategy, Transformation, and Governance scope the focus will be to develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy and vision aligned with organizational goals to become a data-driven company. Collaborate to build a Business Value Assessment and realization framework that is implemented across all the Data initiatives in the company, working closely with business units to identify opportunities for data-driven insights. Align priorities cross-function and ensure we deliver global solutions that are aligned with the data strategy. Finally, the organization defines and executes the Operational Model, including project management best practices and consistent methodology, capacity and resource management, and financial management.

As aPoint of contact for EU Data projects. your role is to ensure interaction between business stakeholders from the Europe region and the Data & Analytics team. You will have a direct impact on the regional business by enabling solutions, either by leveraging Data & Analytics capabilities or by enabling local solutions, in agreement with the Opella data standards.

  • Experience: Strong experience in collaborating with management & top management stakeholders fostering co-creation and good relationships. Experience defining and implementing transformation initiatives either related to technology or organization. Strong Operations background. Ability to provide strategic direction through thought leadership. Experience with process design, implementation, and improvement. Exposure to tools used to support data management, specifically business glossary and metadata management, data cataloging, and data quality. Rigorous,attentionto detail to map data systems, and curious to understand what is behind each data field. Understanding local data privacy laws and regulations. Work closely with multiple business functions to understand their data & analytics needs and translate them into prioritized demands. Define a D&A roadmap for the region and drive implementation. Ensure budget planning and allocation for the regional initiatives. Familiarity with Data tools (snowflake, Informatica, AWS, Power BI) and concepts (Data Science, Data engineering, data collection & transformation, modeling and governance). Work on RFP's and vendor selection for the prioritized demands with detailed ROI. Strong focus on value, with deep knowledge of value drivers and business cases. Strong ability to identify, quantify, and effectively raise business risks associated with data quality or non-compliance. Experience developing best Lean & Agile practices, policies, and/or procedures.
  • Soft & Technical skills: Experience working with multiple teams to drive alignment and results. Experience working with multicultural, global teams. Ability to collaborate with management & top management. Service-oriented, flexible, and positive team player. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Focus on solutions, not problems. Challenge status-quo. Able to work on multiple initiatives at the same time.
  • Education: Master's degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Management, or Statistics. An MBA is a plus.
  • Languages: English is a MUST

Other requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in general management, data management, or IT management.
  • Team management experience is required.
  • Experience in an FMCG, Health care company is a strong plus.
