Main responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the global procurement Automation strategy to create added value for our business partners and for all industrial sites and develop strategies considering competitiveness and breakthrough innovation/technologies across all GBUs and build up robust stakeholder map & community of practise to leverage technology, opportunities and implement strategic direction globally in close collaboration with Global Engineering/Manufacturing & Supply.
  • Deliver savings on the commodity and secure competitive agreements with favorable terms on pricing, service, and quality.
  • Capture market supplier knowledge and share it within Sanofi, benchmark against industry standards to identify opportunities for improvement and leverage global procurement capabilities.
  • Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and drive performance management, oversee supplier business reviews, and ensure adherence to service levels, KPIs, and compliance standards.
  • Conduct global Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and manage contract negotiations.
  • Act as a change agent, introducing innovations and best practices in procurement processes.
  • Oversee risk assessment and mitigation efforts within the supply chain, ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, as well as corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and report on sourcing activity status, savings achievements, and potential risks while providing regular updates to stakeholders on performance metrics, category spending, and market trends.

About you

Experience:
  • 5+ years' experience in Procurement specializing in Automation & digitalization in highly regulated industry.
  • Proven track record in category management, supplier negotiations, contract management, and deployment of digital maintenance solutions.

Soft skills:
  • Proven track record in building and leading cross-functional teams while influencing stakeholders.
  • Capacity to think out of the box with a problem-solving approach to contribute to the strategy.
  • Results oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, notably on large data sets.
  • Knowledge of SAP MM module and any CMMS tool.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Trained into crisis management.
  • Knowledge of Pharma GMP work environment.
  • Good understanding of finance and legal aspects.
  • Flexible, receptive, resourceful, creative, and results oriented.
  • Proven project management.
  • Technical and commercial Negotiation.
  • Communication skills: Assertiveness, ability to convince/influence others and excellent presentation skills.
  • Able to quickly assimilate new information/skills.
  • Readily adapts to new environment, processes, ways of working.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal sensitivity.
  • Role model in compliance and ethics.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or another relevant field.

Languages:
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English required (other language is a plus).
