Your job, as Biostatistician within our Biostatistics team, will be to provide statistical expertise, analysis of data and interpretation of processes and data analysis results within Quality and Manufacturing & Supply. The key statistical activities include experimental design, power and sample size calculation, performing statistical analysis of data for method improvement or modifications of test methods, validation of test methods, comparability studies, out of specification calculation, setting limits for reference standards and controls, setting product release and stability limits, developing statistical analysis programs for trend analysis, stability or other statistical needs, and providing statistical analysis to address questions from regulatory agencies. Other activities may include performing statistical analysis of stability program results to identify changes in product stability trends and identification of out of trend results.

Main responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing statistical services of assigned projects to ensure objectives are met, timely delivery and quality of analyses and reports.
  • Author and review statistical analyses and reports. Provide statistical consultation to Quality functions, Scientists and other functions at Sanofi.
  • Develop and verify calculation programs according to Standard Operating Procedures and ensure calculations agree with license agreement and current regulations. Develop, verify, update, and maintain tools used for statistical calculations, data analysis and trending, and stability data trending.
  • Keep abreast of statistical literature and maintain current knowledge of industry standards and relevant scientific disciplines to ensure current developments are implemented when appropriate.
  • Use sound statistical methodologies, perform sample size calculation, data management, statistical analyses and modelling, write clear statistical reporting of the data analysis results, and communicate statistical results and conclusions to clients.
  • Perform analyses and interpretation of data in the assigned projects, statistical analysis and reports completed by peers, and perform review of study protocols and reports.

About you

Experience:
  • Experience in R and/or SAS statistical programming and interpretation of statistical results, including knowledge of a variety of statistical methods (e.g., linear and non-linear models, mixed effects model, non-parametric analysis, equivalence test, categorical data analysis, simulation, Bayesian statistics and analyses).
  • Experience with other analytical tools and programming language would be a strong asset (e.g., JMP, Python).

Soft and technical skills:
  • Ability to effectively communicate statistical concepts.
  • Strong attention and accuracy with details, commitment to quality.
  • Strong team player able to maintain strong working relationships and effective interpersonal interaction.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Education:
  • Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics or related subjects.
  • Post-secondary training in a biological science would be a strong asset.

Languages:
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English language.
