Join our 'Early CMC Analytics Department' - Method Development and Characterization team at Sanofi Ghent R&D as Analytical Associate Scientist and you'll be technically and scientifically contributing to the characterization of NANOBODY® molecules with high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) and/or capillary electrophoretic analyses.

Main responsibilities:
  • Involvement in method development, pre-qualification or verification for techniques such as Reversed Phase, Size Exclusion, Ion Exchange and other (U)HPLC chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, UV- and fluorescence spectroscopy, endotoxin testing, Host Cell Proteins assay.
  • Working on automation / high throughput workflows, automated assays and implementation using e.g. Hamilton or TECAN is a preferred skill.
  • Independently running analyses: from design of experimental set-up, sample organization and preparation, data processing and analysis, up till reporting of the results.
  • Data interpretation, drawing conclusion, and defining next steps.
  • Support other departments and assist in the development of a large-scale manufacturing process by performing requested analytical tests.
  • Physico-chemical characterization of NANOBODY® molecules.
  • Stability studies and identification of product variants and investigation of degradation pathways.

About you

Experience:
  • Experience in (U)HPLC chromatography, capillary electrophoresis or similar techniques and/or automation hands on experience is mandatory.
  • Hands on experience of automated sample handling and/or high throughput workflow is definitely a plus.

Soft and technical skills:
  • Good sense for initiative, quality, accuracy and details.
  • Strong team player with good organizational skills, open and able to communicate.
  • Committing towards work, creative mindset and motivational attitude.
  • Hands-on mentality and comfortable with controlling high tech instrumentation, and ambition to quickly learn about relevant techniques.

Education:
  • Master's degree in Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Biomedical sciences or a relevant field of studies.

Languages:
  • Fluency in English language.
