What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a Technical Business Development Specialist.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Support Sandia's program areas to identify and develop new customers/partners and retain existing customers/partners
- Develop technical value propositions to promote Sandia capabilities and programs; design engaging and professional materials for outreach, marketing and branding
- Facilitate business relationships with industry, universities, and other national labs through web-based environments
- Analyze and visualize data to inform decision-makers and communicate complex information to various audiences
- Automate and streamline recurring business development processes to increase operational efficiency
The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Salary Range:
$99,400 - $193,600
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, PLUS five (5) years of proven experience
- Experience with marketing, business planning and business development
- Experience with program/project planning
- Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance

About Our Team:
Sandia National Laboratories Business & Competitive Intelligence and Data Analysis Visualization - Communication teams support the development of future business, programs, and science and technology investments by evaluating opportunities related to current and future partners and sponsors, assessing markets and research environments, anticipating changes, providing reliable and actionable analyses, and making strategic inputs to assist leadership. The department also provides data analysis and visualization to support leadership decision making, streamline business processes, enhance technology usability and facilitate internal and external collaborations.
Posting Duration:

Security Clearance:
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Position Information:
This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.
Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
