What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and team-oriented Executive Strategy Professional to provide executive support for the Division 4000 Executive Leadership Team. This position will partner closely with the ALD for Infrastructure Operations (IO) and the Directors of Centers 4100, 4600, 4700, and 4900. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the Division's Senior Managers and Managers, all Division Office personnel, and teaming across the business community to address Lab-level strategic IO business challenges.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Assimilate and synthesize disparate information and present it coherently for senior/executive management considerations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to drive progressive change in an organization based on industry best practices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead others through ambiguous environments.
  • Lead/Coordinate Division-level strategic planning efforts to sustain an effective strategy and synergy with Lab-level strategic goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate risk, improve quality and costs to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Using Quality, Project Management, and Lean Six Sigma principles and tools to lead cross-cutting short and long-term strategic projects necessary to realize the Division's vision and mission.

    The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.

Salary Range:

$95,400 - $185,700

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 5 years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree in a relevant field plus 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE Q-level security clearance.

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Experience supporting executives and Directors.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Sandia's program management structure.
  • Experience with Sandia's policy and processes.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Facilitation of Strategic planning and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in the identification and solving of problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver quality results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment including leadership and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated advanced written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience implementing data driven decision making as it relates to strategy.
  • Active DOE/DOD security clearance.

About Our Team:

The Division 4000 Office is responsible for integrating quality assurance, human resources, finance, ES&H and Security support through partnerships throughout the Division. The quality assurance group is largely responsible for developing and sustaining Division processes, including risk management, management review, action items, performance assurance assessments and management and monitoring of stakeholder performance evaluations and expectations. The quality assurance group teams with ES&H, Security and Facilities to develop consistent processes and delivers quality products to multiple customers, including Mission Support/Executive Management Review, Board of Directors, Laboratories Leadership Team and the Sandia Field Office.
