NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

Salary Range:

$127,400 - $216,600

Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

If so, Organization 03530, Compensation and Benefits, is currently seeking a Manager, Compensation to lead their Compensation team! One will join a diverse team charged with developing creative solutions for implementing and managing a variety of compensation initiatives!

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading, managing, and administering the compensation program for Sandia, and for on-going development, enhancement, and maintenance for both base and non-base salary components. This includes providing a full spectrum of compensation support to assess business objectives, working with line management, HR business partners, executives, and others on compensation programs, policies, and practices, and presenting to appropriate management teams.

his position reports to the Senior Manager of Compensation and Benefits.

On any given day, one may be called upon to:

  • Review, analyze, and implement pay policies, compensation policies, and practices, and job classification structures
  • Serve as Sandia's technical expert on compensation related matters, leading various compensation initiatives
  • Develop and conduct compensation training programs to managers and employees with key elements and recommendations for actions
  • Interact with all levels of Sandia's Management teams, Department of Energy, and Sandia's external customers
  • Manage charged and divergent goals regarding compensation
  • Energize the organization through inclusive behaviors and by leading, managing, mentoring, and developing all members of the staff to deliver positive business and organizational outcomes

The selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.

Qualifications We Require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a relevant field, plus 8 years Compensation, HR, or related experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
  • The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

  • 2 or more years' demonstrated leadership experience
  • A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Certification
  • The ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external strategic partners, including building and maintaining effective relationships, on highly sensitive topics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to translate salary-related data into information for dissemination to staff and managers
  • The ability to deliver results, effectively manage people, and effectively lead multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience leading change initiatives

Security Clearance:
