We are seeking a LTD TRM TIER 4 - ADMN SVCS
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Provide exceptional customer service as customer service is an integral part of the job.
- Be a good listener and able to identify and anticipate the needs of the customer.
- Make customers feel important and appreciated.
- Help customers follow Sandia's processes and find ways to help meet the customer's needs all while ensuring processes are followed.
- Assist employees, contractors, consultants, and visitors by processing security clearance requests (access authorizations) and issuing badges (access controls). These processes are facilitated by a team of 17 represented personnel who team together to ensure customers are processed, authorized, and issued the appropriate clearance and badge to access Sandia premises. Some of the components of the processes include: 1) employee, contractor and consultant clearance processing and verification; 2) reinvestigations; 3) incoming/outgoing visits; 4) HSPD-12 Federal Credential enrollment, activation, and updates; and 5) badge issuance.
- Conduct data analysis, identify issues, and provide solutions/enhancements to databases, processes, and procedures.
- Will utilize and become an expert on various program specific databases.
- Meet processing timeline expectations and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail is critical as the selected candidate must ensure procedures are followed to ensure only authorized access is granted to employees, contractors, consultants, and visitors.
- Must provide the customer constant instruction to ensure adherence to established processes, policies, and procedures.
- Prerequisites: New employees must be on the job 12 months; all others, a minimum of 6 months on current job.
- As a condition of employment, this position is represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU). Represented employees must pay the monthly membership dues or agency fee.

Qualifications We Require:
- Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite 100% of the time.
- Ability to maintain a Department of Energy "Q" level clearance.
- The successful applicant will work at the Badge Office Front Counter, Clearance Office, and/or Uncleared Personal Identity Verification (UPIV) Office depending on the needs of the business.

- Perform research and/or investigations of records, electronic databases, DOE, and SNL policies to determine source, type of error and appropriate actions.
- Reconcile discrepancies; recommend solutions; recommend changes to software, procedures, databases, or reports to enhance currency/efficiency.
- Ensure individuals needing access to classified information or site access to Sandia meet all requirements prior to receiving a clearance and a badge.
- As required, instruct, direct, or assign work to others, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures, resolving discrepancies, and recommending changes, as necessary.
- Prerequisites: Must have passed current standardized testing and the typing test.
Qualifications We Desire:
- Experience with DOE/NNSA or DOD Security and working with DOE/NSNA or DOD directives.
- Experience working with all levels of DOE/NNSA and Sandia members of the workforce.
- Experience utilizing DOE/NNSA and SNL databases related to security clearances and badging (i.e., Central Personnel Clearance Index (CPCI), Weapon Data Access Control System (WDACS), Access Control Enabling System (ACES), Enterprise Person, USAccess, Oracle, and/or Contract Security Management Database)

Security Clearance:
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Position Information:
This is a temporary position. Limited Term Employees (LTE) are hired for up to two (2) years, with the option to extend the one (1) year assignment one (1) additional year, upon mutual agreement between the Laboratories and the Union, for a total of three (3) years maximum. LTEs are required to meet all testing requirements.

Required Testing:Applicants must meet the minimum pre-requisites to be scheduled for testing. The applicant will be contacted and scheduled for the next available test date. All applicants must be prepared to test upon application submittal. Once successful testing has been completed, the hiring manager will be notified. Full consideration will not be given to applicants that have not met all of the pre-requisites including testing. Interviews will not be scheduled until the applicant has successfully test-qualified and has been selected by the manager as a top applicant. Passing the test does not guarantee an interview or a selection.If the applicant is not able to schedule testing within the time constraints of the position posting, selection timelines, and the available test dates, they will not be considered for the position.
