What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking two highly skilled Business Operations Managers. One will lead Department 10691, Mission Services Business Operations as the Division Business Operations Manager (DBOM) and the other will lead Department 10697, Information Technology Business Operations as the Center Business Manager (CBM).
The Division Business Operations Manager (DBOM) for Department 10691, Mission Services Business Operations, will be responsible for overseeing financial management, operations integration, and project support for Division 10000 operations. The DBOM will act as the chief of staff/action officer for the Mission Services ALD and will lead a team that includes a Division Business Administrator, Center Business Administrators, and other business professionals. This role also involves leading the D10K Management Operating System and executing Integrated Service Delivery on behalf of the Division.
The Center Business Manager (CBM) for Department 10697, Information Technology Business Operations, will be responsible for financial management, operations integration, and tailored project management for Center 9700, Information Technology Services. The CBM will lead a team that includes a Center Business Administrator and other business professionals. This role is integral to the 10690 Leadership team and involves partnering with peers to foster a culture of operational excellence within Sandia's business community.
For both positions on any given day you will be asked to:
- Lead the team to deliver on commitments aligned with the strategy and goals of the group and center.
- Coordinate and manage specific deliverables, program and project plans, budgets, structures, schedules, and staffing requirements.
- Utilize business knowledge and financial acumen to assess work quality, performance, and alignment with customer expectations.
- Manage members of the workforce, including hiring, professional development, and performance management.
- Collaborate with the Group 10690 Management Team and partners across the Laboratory.
- Team with group and center management to contribute to the development and continuous improvement of business practices to ensure the health of the department and group today and in the future.
The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Salary Range:
$109,300 - $185,700
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus eight or more years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams.
- Active DOE L-level security clearance.

Security Clearance:
Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD).
