Role and Responsibilities
Position Overview:
This Senior Specialist role is responsible for oversight of Global SIM Card Management (GSCMS), DAS System, Telephony, non-corporate internet, TV & Monitor procurement, and Network service in Workplace which provides service for mobile carriers, desk phone, Polycom, mobile carrier signal, internet lines, TV and monitors order, and Wi-Fi service to Samsung Electronics America (SEA) employees. The service vendor (16 > vendor headcount).
Additionally, the position will ensure the Mobile & IT technology team provided second to none delivery of a broad range of the mobile service and solutions to include, but not limited to, creating mobile technology standard, developing multi-year mobile service plans, supporting the physical infrastructure of enterprise network systems, data circuits, telephony systems, digital assets and the end of end mobile communication experience with all mobile technology and collaboration asset tools.
Responsibilities
- This role will include daily operation process, managing the remote and on-site support of all mobile product test lines and sim cards, in building solution (DAS system), telephony service, and Vendor & Mobile Billing Management personnel across the nation that included 35 offices in USA
- Lead and serve as an escalation point for all stakeholders including Mobile Carrier, Internal users, Mobile carriers, HQ, and 4 mobile & 12 service staff across the nation
Lead GSCMS:
- Responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of mobile carrier testing accounts and operations
- Develop and maintain relationships with mobile carriers and the Korean HQ to ensure successful testing accounts setup and operations
- Train and mentor team members on mobile carrier testing account operations and processes
- Monitor and analyze performance of mobile carriers to identify areas of improvement and cost savings
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful and timely launch of mobile testing account lines
Workplace IPT Solution Related:
- Daily oversight and management of all telecommunication technology vendors providing service in the workplace
- Coordinating work with Samsung's preferred Mobile technology provider and facilities partner to manage all Mobile service projects and day-to-day service in the workplace
- Directing mobile vendor partners to ensure that standards used as part of their recommendation adhere to, and comply with, SEA's Mobile technology standards
- Daily interaction with multiple vendor partners to ensure that technology solutions remain operational and do not cause disruption to the SEA business (e.g. company-issued mobile phones, desk phones, fixed-mobile convergence, Polycom, and corporate lines with no restrictions)
Workplace DAS System Related:
- Develops and manages plans and budgets for large-scale Distributed Antennae System (DAS) projects
- Reviews and coordinates all project requirements and ensures that project goals are met
- Oversees installation of DAS equipment, performs quality assurance tests and ensures that all systems are working properly
- Manages the distribution of materials, equipment and personnel for DAS projects
- Oversees project timelines and ensures that project deadlines are met
- Develops and implements strategies to maximize efficiency and maximize cost savings on DAS projects
Skills and Qualifications
• Experienced professional with full understanding on specialized areas; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analyzing data requires evaluating identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments
• Typically requires minimum 5 years' of related experience and a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience
