About the Role
Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is looking to hire for the role of Senior Business Systems Engineer. This role will be a crucial part of the Business Systems team, which focuses on creating and delivering impactful, large-scale technology programs. These programs aim to enhance the ROI of Samsara’s systems and technology, thereby boosting the overall performance and value of the organization.
Our mission is to streamline systems and processes, minimize manual, low-value tasks, and empower the company to operate more efficiently, make informed decisions, and ultimately increase profitability.
As a Sr. Business Systems Engineer on the Integrations team, you'll be responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting Samsara's integrations to facilitate business operations.
This hybrid position requires 3 days per week in our Bangalore office and 2 days working remotely. This position requires working hours in IST. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role

In this role, you will:
- Automate, develop, and support integrations across various business systems, platforms, and tools
- Work closely with different business units and technical teams to gather requirements and design solutions
- Use your integration expertise to create scalable solutions and operationalize integrations
- Implement and promote integration best practices
- Participate in on-call support rotation
- Champion, embody, and role model Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we expand globally and into new offices
An ideal candidate has:
- A minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on experience with Workato and its suite of products.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in integration development using platforms such as Workato, Mulesoft, Boomi, etc.
- Proficiency in Python.
- In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Integration design patterns.
- Experience with Workato concepts like callable recipes, event streams, task optimization etc.
- Proficient with various Workato/Mulesoft connectors like Salesforce, Netsuite, Google Drive, HTTP, SFTP, etc.
- Hands-on experience in implementing secure and scalable REST APIs.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Workato’s automated testing strategies.
- Strong debugging skills in complex environments with multiple connected systems.
- Excellent analysis and design capabilities, with a focus on system design, flow, and performance.
- Skilled at mapping customer requirements to comprehensive solution approaches.
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience with Mulesoft and Anypoint Platform.
- Knowledge of creating Splunk dashboards and alerts for operationalizing integrations.
- Advanced systems/software engineering expertise with Python/Ruby scripting skills.
- Ability to build custom connectors using the Workato Connector SDK.
- Strong experience in various object-oriented programming languages, including but not limited to Go, NodeJS, PHP, Python, Ruby, .NET/C#, C, Java, Perl, and JavaScript.
