About the role:

The Strategic Markets team at Samsara is at the forefront of expanding the world’s best end-to-end software experience for physical operations.

As a Product Management Leader on the Strategic Markets team, you’ll be responsible for building and implementing our holistic EMEA product strategy. EMEA has seen incredible growth in recent years, but as we continue to scale, we need to localize the products and services we offer our customer base.

You’ll take ownership of 3 main areas:

  • Market Insights: You’ll develop perspectives on each region, taking care to account for differences in local market pain points, regulations, and industry trends that affect the shape of our business for years to come
  • Product Roadmap: Based on an intimate understanding of our markets, customer pain points, and collaboration with GTM teams, you will own and manage a product roadmap across EMEA that improve product-market fit and deliver large customer impact. Working with our product teams, you will also manage delivery of your roadmap across product lines
  • Sales Enablement: Working with our frontline GTM teams, you will be responsible for developing key messaging and value propositions for all products released in EMEA, helping to find novel use cases and giving sales teams more tools to bring to our customers

You’ll report directly to Samsara’s Director of Strategic Markets Product Management. You’ll also partner with colleagues across Product, Design, Engineering, as well as cross-functionally with our Sales and Customer Success teams.

You should apply if:

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
  • You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
  • You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
  • You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the strategy & long-term roadmap for Samsara’s portfolio of products across EMEA. Define the most important problems to solve for customers, and work backwards from winning.
  • Drive the execution of that strategy, delivering solutions that delight our customers and contribute significant business value. Prioritize and communicate across the broader product team, and run feedback loops to iteratively improve the solutions you own.
  • Champion the needs of customers across EMEA by understanding their pain points and operation risks across their value chain
  • Be an expert in macroeconomic and industry trends across EMEA, and understand how new challenges can be solved through product innovations.
  • Partner with go-to-market sales teams to turn customer pain points into product concepts.
  • Contribute to improving the practice of product management at Samsara, in particular, improving how we develop and launch products for a global context.
  • Enable sales teams by developing sales training programs and product marketing messaging that resonates with customers across all segments
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Experience in a management consulting role, ideally moving into product management working with B2B enterprise customers
  • Proven track-record of setting long-term product strategy & roadmaps, and delivering products that delight customers within EMEA markets.
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to make data-driven conclusions and set quantifiable KPIs to justify product decisions.
  • Bias-to-action and a proven track-record of delivering outstanding results for customers & the business on tight timelines. You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty writing product specs and jumping on calls to support the sales team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable presenting to customers, internal audiences, executives, etc. Should also feel very comfortable writing clear and concise strategy documents that will be reviewed at all levels of the organization.
  • 6-8+ years overall experience within a relatable field

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Experience in product marketing, including developing value propositions and customer communications.
  • Prior experience in management consulting, building integrated strategies across product and go-to-market.
  • Experience building and releasing SaaS/IoT products for multiple European markets.
  • Proficiency in German and/or French.
