We are looking for an innovative experienced solution & strategy leader with a track record for driving new product capabilities from concept to successful delivery and market leadership. This role will be responsible for the Life Sciences strategy at Salesforce.

The role is highly cross-functional and requires a candidate that enjoys navigating ambiguity, working in a fast-paced startup like environment, aligning exec stakeholders, collaborating with teams across time-zones and thinking globally. This leader is accountable to ACV and pipeline growth for the products, working in strong collaboration with sales, sales enablement, alliances, marketing and products organizations. The individual is expected to work with senior level customer stakeholders to drive adoption and growth. We are looking for hands-on leader who is comfortable in getting into the weeds and motivated. This person will be able to collaborate across global time zones and domestic/international travel is required(~50%).

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Roadmap

    • Synthesize the needs of the industry to partner with product management to build a vision, roadmap and strategy for the Life Sciences and evangelize it with our customers, partners and employees
    • Leverage market analysis, competitive knowledge, and customer research to define product roadmap
    • Work with Product Managers to bring market needs to Product Management
  • Go to Market

    • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy & plan in collaboration with: marketing, sales, sales enablement, alliances, sales support and product teams
    • Develop and curate sales enablement assets including presentations, videos, demos, solution maps, white papers, data sheets, etc.
    • Collaborate with SI and ISV teams to build solutions to drive incremental pipe and ACV
    • Perform the role of champion to promote and evangelize the product and new features with marketing, sales, support, professional services, partners and customers.
    • Deliver thought leadership for industry products
    • Drive and deliver Solution Plays
  • Customer engagement

    • Engage directly with customers during pre-sales and post-sales implementations to ensure the product will help them reach their desired business outcomes.
    • Present product and roadmap to customer executives in our world-class executive briefing center.
    • Drive customer advisory boards
    • Drive customer executive engagements

Qualifications:

  • High energy and passion for the job
  • Leadership DNA, proven ability to excite and lead a product team
  • Experience managing solution teams
  • 10 years or more experience in Life Sciences Industry including a focus on commercial operations or customer engagement software
  • Experience leading and working with teams internationally
  • Experience in working in fast-paced startup environments
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level business discussions.
  • MBA preferred
  • Humility and grace under pressure

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $295,600 to $472,900.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $295,600 to $472,900.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
