Role Overview
We are seeking an innovative, visionary, and results-driven executive to lead Salesforce Commerce Cloud to its next stage of growth with an agent-first mentality. This role demands exceptional product leadership, strategic acumen, and a proven ability to scale global businesses exponentially through direct and indirect channels. Agentic experiences in Commerce are a game changer and the ideal candidate will have a solid track record of delivering successful agentic experiences with Generative AI and be able to build on the vision of Commerce Cloud Shopper, Buyer, and Merchant agents.
As the SVP & GM of Commerce Cloud, you will navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment while working cross-functionally to align teams, engage stakeholders, and deliver on business objectives. You will lead the charge in driving ACV growth, fostering customer success, and advancing Salesforce Commerce Cloud's position as a market leader in the commerce space.
The ideal candidate must have outstanding communication skills to partner closely with executives across our customer base, ability to execute on product transformations, lead internal executive discussions, and participate at Salesforce events such as Dreamforce and Connections.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute the Commerce Cloud product strategy to solidify leadership in the CRM and digital commerce markets.
- Develop a compelling vision and roadmap that aligns with Salesforce's overall strategy and fosters innovation.
- Serve as a thought leader and ambassador at key industry events such as Dreamforce and Connections.
Growth:
- Drive ACV and pipeline growth through strategic collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams
- Lead initiatives to grow revenue, expand market share, and enhance customer adoption
- Proven track record of expanding TAM with new products and accelerating customer logo acquisition
- Develop and implement innovative pricing and packaging strategies to align with emerging market dynamics
Product Innovation and Execution:
- Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, including strategy, roadmap development, release planning, and customer success
- Develop robust roadmap for Commerce Cloud Generative AI experiences to differentiate us from the competition and solidify Commerce Cloud as the commerce market leader
- Lead cross functional teams through a product transformation to core
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, market-leading solutions
- Leverage market insights, customer research, and competitive analysis to drive product innovation and differentiation
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of go-to-market strategies
- Foster relationships with SI and ISV partners to build scalable solutions and drive incremental revenue
- Align executive stakeholders globally to achieve business objectives
Customer Engagement:
- Engage with senior-level customer stakeholders to ensure alignment on desired outcomes and drive adoption
- Present product vision and strategy to customers and partners in high-impact settings, including Salesforce's Executive Briefing Center
- Maintain relentless focus on customer success to enhance the Commerce Cloud value proposition
Team Leadership:
- Build, develop, and inspire a high-performance, globally dispersed team of product managers and engineers
- Foster a collaborative, cohesive culture that emphasizes innovation, accountability, and operational excellence
- Drive continuous improvement in product development and business execution practices

- Skilled at mobilizing cross-functional teams to innovate, execute, and achieve market leadership
- Demonstrated success in aligning and inspiring globally dispersed teams within highly matrixed, fast-growing organizations
- Broad expertise spanning sales, marketing, product management, and engineering, with a focus on building and scaling high-performing teams
- Passionate about Salesforce's mission and the critical role Commerce Cloud plays in driving customer success and market leadership
Professional Experience / Skills Required:
- Proven CxO-level leadership in enterprise technology, with a focus on developing and delivering commerce-specific products and solutions
- 15+ years of leadership experience in commerce, retail, or consumer goods, including 10+ years in executive roles
- Extensive experience managing large business units or product portfolios within software or technology organizations
- Track record of delivering Generative AI experiences that deliver valuable outcomes
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to collaborate closely with engineering on architectural decisions and drive innovation
- Expertise in general management, strategic planning, and establishing business, operational, and financial processes
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to effectively engage with diverse teams and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in launching new products, with expertise in pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies to maximize revenue and market impact

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $341,000 to $448,000.
