Sr Manager/Director, Product Growth Strategy

The Product Growth Strategy team (formerly known as the Cloud GTM Strategy and Operations) is part of Salesforce's Corporate Strategy department, and partners with Product Management executives to drive business growth, Go-To-Market (GTM) execution, strategic planning, business analysis, and growth across our ever growing product portfolio.

The person in this role will be the Strategy Business Partner for a key, high visibility product Business Unit, and responsible for delivering a strong operational cadence to achieve our quarterly objectives, providing outstanding business insights and leading cross-functional transformational initiatives for that Business Unit. The right candidate will be a data-driven leader, able to build trusted relationships with senior executive stakeholders, as well as mentor high-performing analysts within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to develop, implement and track quarterly business plans, including actionable recommendations.
  • Own and drive the annual Go-To-Market planning cycle for the Business Unit, driving alignment across key cross-functional stakeholders. Analyze new GTM models and strategies for tradeoffs, risks, and opportunities.
  • Interact with various cross-functional groups at senior levels (e.g. Sales Leadership, Marketing, Finance, Business Operations, M&A, etc.) to bring business insights and drive execution.
  • Work across the broader Applications portfolio and Product Growth Strategy team to collaborate, learn and scale.
  • Mentor and support a virtual team of supporting analysts on a project-by-project basis. (Note this role does not have direct reports, but will be supported by a shared analyst pool, and gain leverage from standardized, centrally built tools and resources)

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 8-10+ years at a high-growth tech company in a strategic sales/business operations sr. leadership role or at a top management consulting company with strong exposure to Go-To-Market/Product Strategy assignments.

  • Executive presence and shown success building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing and collaborating in cross-functional environments.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment (sense of urgency, ability to adjust on the fly to unplanned situations).
  • Experience in presenting, speaking and writing before large diverse teams. Capable of crafting messages on behalf of senior execs, finding the right style for every situation.
  • Ability to creatively tackle problems with limited resources and input.
