The software engineer will be responsible to design and develop cloud native platform services that are globally distributed, performant and scalable to the customer's demand. The software engineer also focuses on service fundamentals to ensure service availability, reliability and compliance.

As a successful Platform and Customer Intelligence Engineer, you will:

Architect, design, code and test globally distributed platform services to manage data that powered Marketing Cloud customers to craft personalized journeys and messages.
Develop proof of concepts (POCs) to evaluate technology fit for real life use cases
Leverage cloud technologies taking advantages of elasticity and scale to meet customer demand
Influence internally and cross teams with architectures, best practices and implementation methods for large-scale mission critical systems.
Solve complex problems supporting availability, reliability and performance of production systems, while having the intention to solve the problems with solutions and automations.
Participate in the scrum team for planning and execution of engineering deliverables
Optimize for scale and performance requirements of the platforms
Have the utmost standard/quality bar in code quality and efficiency
Build supportability in the service from design phase - telemetry instrumentation and monitoring
Leverage data-driven design decision using telemetry

Basic Qualifications:

5- 7+ years of experience in C, C++, C#, Java or object-oriented programming and .NET Framework fundamentals
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or IT Technical discipline
Advanced experience in data engineering for relational database management systems (RDBMS), specifically in PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server
Advanced experience in designing globally distributed service, workflow queuing, load balancing, caching, storage and distributed service layer
Proficient in T-SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell, or automation scripting
Proficient in REST API concepts, security and authentication principles and API authentication models
Experienced in building cloud service in public cloud offerings (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Proficient in SDLC concepts and technologies and SCRUM methodology
Proficient in Docker Containerization and Kubernetes Orchestration
Proficient in frontend such as HTML and Modern JavaScript
* Communicate well within and across teams, also ability to influence without authority

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $157,600 to $253,000.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $172,000 to $276,100.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
