Salesforce Inc. seeks Senior Manager Software Engineering in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Analyzing, understanding, and improving Salesforce.com's performance from server generation to browser rendering; Using industry standard tools for measuring and visualizing the different components of site performance, across millions of users; Working closely with developers to understand our architecture; Gathering requirements from management and product owners; Ensuring visibility necessary to identify potential areas of performance improvement; and Triaging problems when they occur in one of our global production data centers.

ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Java Development; (2) SQL Database Tuning; (3) Shell Scripting; (4) JUnit; (5) Distributed Operating Systems; (6) Performance Benchmarking on Mobile Applications. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Experience with special skills can be gained through academic coursework or professional experience. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $200,304.00 - $285,000.00 per annum.
