Data & Analytics (DnA) is the force that propels Salesforce into the 4th Industrial Revolution informing through trusted data and artificial intelligence the path forward to be smarter in every dimension. From financial forecasting, customer health, and adoption insights to the utmost trusted and curated data, the Data & Analytics team is the unbiased partner to all data trailblazers at Salesforce. This role will lead the Data & Analytics - C360 Apps team and report to the Director, Product Management of GM Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Be the data thought leader and trusted advisor to the Product and Engineering organization, specifically the General Managers, Product Owners, Engineering leaders, and cross-functional leaders across the C360 Apps Team
  • Lead a high-achieving, innovative, fast-paced team of analysts, data engineers, and visualization engineers that partners with cross-functional teams to understand the business problem, gather information, synthesize data, apply mathematical and statistical methods to test hypotheses, and overlay business context to know why something happened (descriptive analytics) and provide recommendations on what to do about it (prescriptive analytics). Be a master in cross-functional collaboration by developing deep relationships with key partners across the company and coordinating with working teams.
  • Forster deep collaboration with cross-functional partners to establish the roadmap for the team, prioritize the most impactful work, and guide the team in solving ambiguous and complex problems.
  • Leads the full cycle of data and analytics development, managing resources and processes to achieve high-quality work while continuously improving efficiency. Actively makes critical decisions (RACI, timeline, scope, etc) to ensure the timely delivery of accurate analyses and analytical services.
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain a world-class Data team, spanning data analysts, visualization engineers, and data engineers

Required Skills

  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience as a data science or analytics leader (product management and engineering experience a plus)
  • 2+ years of experience managing and scaling large data science or analytics teams of direct and matrixed reports.
  • MBA or Master's in Technology (computer science, computer engineering, economics, applied math, statistics, engineering, or other quantitative field).
  • Proven experience working directly with senior executive leadership, and delivering enterprise-scale predictive modeling initiatives and applications.
  • Expert communicator in written and verbal form; ability to work well with executives, and technologists, and able to lead and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Shown experience thinking out-of-the-box and solving tough problems.
  • Proficient (3+ years) in statistics or machine learning (friends glaze over because you can't stop talking about it over dinner), strong data manipulation, product analytics, and statistical analysis skills, with advanced SQL, R, SAS, or Python experience.
  • 2+ years experience in writing scalable code in any high-level language
  • Encouraging leader with a driven, results-focused attitude that can drive multiple large initiatives concurrently across cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Product Marketing, SIs, and more).
  • Strategic problem solver who simplifies problems to their core elements and finds creative solutions.
  • Get-it-done approach with a strong bias towards action.
  • Advanced Salesforce product knowledge is a plus.
