The Role The Sr Director of Strategic Talent Initiatives is a critical position within the Talent Growth & Development (TGD) organization. Reporting to the EVP of TGD, this role will drive strategic priorities across the enterprise, lead marketing and communications strategy, and manage the HR (ES) change and enablement team. This high-profile position requires a leader who brings a global mindset, innovative thinking, and the ability to influence at all levels while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications Strategy
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to enhance TGD visibility and impact across the organization
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with PR, Communications, and Marketing teams to create compelling narratives about TGD initiatives
Lead the development and implementation of go-to-market strategies for new TGD programs
Design and execute the Careers engagement strategy for employees, customers, and partners
Drive external brand presence through thought leadership content, speaking engagements, and strategic communications
Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all TGD initiatives and communications
Change Management & HR Enablement
Lead, develop, and scale the HR Change and Enablement team to support organizational transformation
Create and implement comprehensive change management strategies for major HR initiatives
Design and deliver enablement programs to support the adoption of new HR processes, tools, and initiatives
Partner with key stakeholders to ensure successful change implementation and adoption
Develop metrics and reporting to track change management effectiveness
Build change management capabilities across the HR organization
Partner with the Comms team on our HR project/program calendar to monitor persona saturation.
Strategic Initiative Management
Drive EVP priorities and cross-functional initiatives aligned with business rhythm and strategic objectives
Manage and monitor TGD V2MOM metrics across Corporate, ES, and TGD levels
Coordinate closely with ES COO org on metrics, reporting cadence, and strategic alignment
Sustain effective business cadence for TGD leadership team meetings and communications
Partner with ES leadership on business governance for all Talent programs
Cross-Functional Leadership
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
Represent TGD in enterprise-wide initiatives and strategic planning
Drive alignment between TGD initiatives and broader organizational objectives
Stay current with emerging ES initiatives and represent TGD appropriately
Requirements
8-10 years of management experience supporting senior executives and high-profile initiatives
Proven experience in developing and executing marketing/communications strategies within an HR context
Demonstrated success in leading change management and enablement teams
Strong track record of cross-functional leadership and ability to influence at senior levels
Experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships with Communications, PR, and Marketing teams
Deep understanding of HR disciplines including Talent, Engagement, and Equality
High cultural and emotional intelligence (CQ and EQ) with strong executive presence
Excellence in strategic thinking and translating plans into actionable initiatives
Strong data management and analytical skills
Passion for Salesforce values and Employee Success mission
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in tech industry HR/talent management
Track record of successful large-scale change management initiatives
Experience with V2MOM framework and metrics-driven program management
Background in employer branding or talent marketing

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $214,800 to $327,600.
For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $196,800 to $300,200.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
