Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of IT Asset Management to oversee the management of our IT assets, including laptops, mobile phones, and software. This role is critical in ensuring that our productivity assets are provisioned efficiently, managed throughout their lifecycle, and meet the needs of our global community so they can do the best work of their lives. The leader will work to reduce the the cost to serve while working to improve the end-user experience as we secure the enterprise through sound asset management programs and practices.

This role will lead a global team of regional leaders, asset managers, and program managers with a concerted focus on operational excellence and team development. The leader will interface with multiple groups including Infrastructure Engineering, Client Engineering, Sourcing, and Finance to align on standards, preferred suppliers and total cost of ownership. The role will provide guidance on career progression, people and delivery best practices, and facilitate executive engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Provisioning and Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee the provisioning of laptops, mobile phones, and software to employees.
  • Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, including refresh and return processes.
  • Ensure timely and efficient deployment of assets to meet business needs.

Optimization and Standards:

  • Develop and implement standards for IT asset management to eliminate redundancy and waste.
  • Ensure optimal use of asset entitlements and licenses.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation through effective asset management.

Global Team Leadership:

  • Lead and develop a global team of IT asset management leads across all Salesforce regions.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Develop and execute a workforce strategy that leverages managed service providers.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategies for IT asset management that align with business goals.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT asset management.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve asset management processes.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT asset management or a related discipline (Program Management, IT Service Management, IT Operations), with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software asset management best practices
  • Experience managing global teams and working in a multinational environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of driving cost savings and cost avoidance in asset management programs
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, IAITAM, FinOps, or others
  • Able to ensure operational excellence within the team and track strong KPIs for all team programs.
  • A dynamic, confident personality that teams well with others and the ability to drive projects forward amidst multiple shifting priorities and goals in a matrixed organization.
  • A creative problem solver who can work collaboratively, and lead a cross-functional team.
  • Are passionate about being a customer advocate. You understand why your customers' voices are so important.
  • Know how to set goals, prioritize, and maintain focus when it comes to deadlines.
  • Are flexible and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Possess a good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with excellent listening skills.
  • Have experience working with individuals from different areas of the world and a basic knowledge of various cultures and customs.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to serve our customers and team.
