As part of the Health Product Team, the Sr. Director - Strategy & Solutions (Provider & Public Health) will address a wide range of responsibilities, acting as a senior leader for the Health industry (Provider and Public Health) and advocate for cross-sector connections. Working under the GM for Health, they are responsible for growing the overall footprint of the Health industry within Salesforce. They a principal spokesperson for the Health industry in the Product organization to our internal teams, partners, analysts, and more. Their primary directive is to drive growth and revenue by focusing on the best positioning of our GA Industry Clouds and add-ons, as well as our GA horizontal Clouds. They accomplish this by designing all of our relevant offerings, including ISVs, into a comprehensive and market-winning strategy with corresponding solution architectures for dissemination, adoption, and enablement with our internal and external distribution partners.

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Develop and advocate for our Health industry strategy, which - among other things - communicates our path to Industry Product and Health revenue targets, to our internal teams, partners, customers, the press, analysts, etc.
  • Develop individual Sector Business Plans (Provider and Public Health) including perspectives linking sectors
  • Maintain the Health Industry POV (Provider and Public Health) and Value Proposition of Salesforce in each sector
  • Architect the Health sector Blueprints (Drivers, JTBD, capability models, mappings & TAM) and alignment of organic products and partners to them
  • Influence Global GTM and program strategy across geos

Solutions

  • Select and lead Industry Solution development in collaboration with our internal sector workgroups: S&S is accountable and responsible for the end-to-end IS process
    S&S is responsible for producing the solution snapshot
    ISS is responsible for producing the script and demo assets
    Marketing is responsible for producing the playbook, marketed solution and pitch deck
    Product is responsible for producing the Product Brief and Feature FAQs
  • Lead design of our Health sector Solutions:
    S&S is accountable and responsible for defining needs to JTBD [with IA and ISS] and collaborating with distributed authorities on processes and architectures
  • Evolve the solution delivery process - from ideation to development to enablement to positioning through to implementation & support
  • Inspect the business to ensure solutions are positioned for frictionless delivery
  • Work with Industry marketing, globally, to have the right marketing mix for the pipe gen

Product & Partner Advocacy

  • Advocate for build, buy and/or partner needs
  • Work with Product Managers to add capability to our Industry product portfolio; be authority on market needs capable of presenting prioritized needs to Product Managers for build consideration
  • Deeply understand our product - especially Health Cloud
  • Work with the Partner Co-Leaders to define product Build and Grow strategy; complete opportunity assessment when considering features beyond our current footprint.
  • Ensure released products are designed into Industry Solutions
  • Liaison with Deal Desk and Product Marketing to support Health Products
  • Recommend product areas for ISV Team to recruit new Partners
  • Recommend companies for M&A to Buy
  • Communicate Product Blueprints & POV to SIs by geo and sub-segment
  • Work with the partner enablement team to ensure SIs are enabled and competent to implement solutions
  • Communicate partner prioritization by geo and sub-segment
  • Enable internal guide groups (SEs, EAs, PMs) on Health industry products and solutions
  • Ensure Product features are available in the IDO 30-days post GA; support ongoing process improvement to ensure straight-forward demos by SEs to prospects/customers

Field Support

  • Be Tier 2 sector and solution expert to the field as they pursue deals and support accounts; handle product DSRs, pull in PMs as necessary
  • Know Health Cloud capabilities in detail and able to demo the product
  • Convene Health experts across the globe to discuss sector strategy and prioritize feedback
  • Convene health-interested distribution teams across regions regularly to ensure understanding of our capabilities and successes
  • Work with the WW Distribution Teams to position and close deals
  • Work with the WW Distribution Teams to support key accounts and big deals as needed
  • Support release enablement and be viewed as Health Cloud authority capable of delivering the Health Cloud overview and roadmap and demoing Health Cloud; be able to spin up Health Cloud IDO org and be able to demo/talk about the Health Cloud features in context
  • Maintain Highspot sector pages in collaboration with our Marketing colleagues
  • Present at Primary/Third Party Events
  • Support SIC

Thought leadership

  • Champion the Health sector(Provider and Public Health) to our various OU leaders and Cloud Product teams
  • Drive topical conversations internally and externally
  • Provide "thought leadership" on product and industry strategy in the form of, as examples, blogs, webinars and posts
  • Partake in industry associations to position our POV into evolving industry standards

A related technical degree required.

In office expectations are 36 days/a quarter to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $207,100 to $315,900.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $225,200 to $343,400.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
