About the Technology Apprenticeship

We are a team of innovative technology professionals who use software to innovate, solve problems and deliver cutting edge services. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn on the job with world class software developers and actively contribute to our exciting mission to deliver reliable and resilient business solutions. You will have the opportunity to operate as a fully functioning member of the team and gain valuable real world experience. The program will run in collaboration with Fast Track into Information Technology for two years and will provide you with the experience and knowledge to become a proficient software developer. Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will receive an ICT Associate Apprenticeship - Software Developer qualification, accredited at QQI Level 6.

In this role you will work in one of our technology functions listed below.

Customer Centric Engineering

Salesforce's Customer Centric Engineering (CCE) team embeds seamlessly with our partner product development teams, mastering the intricacies of the product to tackle the most challenging software bugs and issues. They collaborate closely with our Product Team to identify and implement strategies that enhance overall product availability and boost customer satisfaction.

Systems Security

Salesforce's Systems Security team work to protect and monitor our company's major host and network infrastructure from internal/external threats through the application and testing of Agile software practices. You will be an active part in the design, implementation and testing of tools that help safeguard Salesforce and our customers.

Infrastructure Engineering

Salesforce's Infrastructure Engineering team plays an important role in developing, maintaining and supporting tools and frameworks used to manage and maintain the underlying infrastructure used to run Salesforce services. You will actively contribute to mission critical services and solutions as part of that team.

In all of these teams, you'll receive mentorship, training, and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic, innovative environment. We will provide further information and evaluate your suitability for specific teams during the application process.

About Future Pathways:

As a Salesforce apprentice you will work and learn at the same time. You will spend roughly 80% of your time performing your role and the remaining 20% will be spent studying towards your college qualification. You will become a member of our Future Pathways community and be offered supportive and developmental opportunities as part of our early careers apprenticeship program. What are we looking for?

These are skills & behaviours that will make you successful on our Technology apprenticeship:

  • A keen interest in the world of software development and passion for technology
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starting, proactive and organised, as well as being capable of long-term thinking
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Excellent English communication skills - written and oral
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a customer service mindset - energetic, friendly, and patient

Eligibility

  • Must have completed a Leaving Certificate with pass grades in at least five Ordinary level subjects (including Maths and English).
  • International applicants must present with the equivalent of a full Level 5 qualification or higher.
  • Apprentices for whom English is not a first language must demonstrate proficiency in English. Applicants must achieve a minimum of a grade B1 CEFR or recognised equivalent (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
