Role Description

The Global Technology Partnerships team is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Emerging Technology Product Business Development team. This is a unique opportunity to develop extensibility, partnership and monetization strategies, explore new partnership models, and foster new strategic partnerships to incubate new ISV ecosystems for our emerging technology like Data Cloud and Einstein Copilot. Aligned with Salesforce's top corporate and product priorities, our strategic partnerships and initiatives drive revenue, increase customer success, deliver on our product roadmap, elevate our brand, and differentiate our company.

As a member of the Product Business Development team, you will be a highly visible leader responsible for generating, managing, and driving some of Salesforce's most complex and high-impact partnership activities. This includes generating partnership strategy, leading financial analysis, and handling relationships and negotiations for partnership deals which can be non-traditional in nature, require sophisticated stakeholder management, and have broad strategic implications for Salesforce. This role requires diving into the technical aspects of our products and overseeing delivery of strategic programs such as pilots for new extensibility. You will concurrently drive multiple deals or initiatives that can involve many parts of our product and technology portfolio and require working seamlessly with cross-functional stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Marketing, Distribution, Procurement, Finance, Operations and Legal.

Your Impact:

  • Build out new partnership strategies, financial analyses, product strategies, and integration plans for our business development initiatives
  • Evangelize strategies, both quantitatively and qualitatively, with cross-functional stakeholder and executive audiences to build consensus and alignment on each initiative
  • Lead the building and development of design assets as needed to communicate our strategies and ideas: this includes well-designed pitch decks, product mockups, and working technology demos where appropriate
  • Work cross-functionally to deliver new ecosystem programs including monetization strategy, packaging, product readiness, messaging, enablement materials, pilot programs, etc.
  • Partner with other Global Technology Partnerships team members to execute partnership initiatives from initial idea to close
  • Build and maintain deep relationships within prospective and existing strategic partners, and with key stakeholders from across Salesforce including Product, Legal, Sales, ISV, Engineering, Infrastructure, Marketing, and PR
  • Represent our team's initiatives, strategies, and plans with EVP+ and C-level audiences across both Salesforce and our strategic partners
  • Work with Strategic Partnership Marketing and Enablement to drive field enablement and education on our partnerships
  • Present the relationship status and integrations for the partnerships at the Salesforce Strategic Innovation Center (SIC) with C-level customers on a regular basis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years in high-tech industry (preferably enterprise software) in the following roles: Strategic Partnerships, Business Development, Corporate Development, Partner Engineering, Product Management for Data or AI products, Product Marketing for Data or AI products, or equivalent
  • Strong product knowledge of Salesforce products and services OR equivalent technologies in the market
  • Proven understanding of and willingness to learn partner products, technologies, and services
  • Experience in messaging and positioning product and partnership value propositions to internal and external audiences
  • Strong executive presence with shown ability to present in formal and informal settings
  • Ability to build product roadmaps and work with agile engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strategic and analytical problem solver who is able to blend technology and business strategy to develop a compelling vision and strategy for partnership initiatives
  • Stellar public speaker with a strong capability to communicate complex technical ideas in a compelling and easy-to-digest manner through both verbal and visual storytelling
  • Design-oriented with the ability to communicate sophisticated concepts and ideas visually
  • Ability to prioritize in a dynamic working environment and build excellent rapport with internal teams; tight-knit collaboration is a requirement
  • Consistent track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to optimally lead multiple projects
