An exciting opportunity to be a part of Salesforce Finance and the Revenue Operations Team. The Manager, Sales Operations is a people leader with a broad expertise in industry and operational practices that has strong leadership and team development skills. The Manager will be responsible for a team providing pre-sales internal support and guidance to Account Executives and Renewal Managers on contract negotiations, quoting support, ongoing account license management, booking metrics, approvals, and escalations. The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive successful outcomes amongst ambiguity and apply judgment independently to complex situations that require in depth analysis and coordination across multiple departments. They will also help mentor and coach team members to meet company objectives and individual goals.
Responsibilities Include:
- Build strong relationships with Sales Leaders and provide guidance to them and their teams on complex Sales transactions.
- Hire, train, and develop top talent
- Coach and mentor a team of Contract Specialists to ensure consistent team development, growth, and performance
- Take accountability for measuring and achieving team success metrics
- Work with business partners in Revenue Recognition, Collections, Deal Desk, and Legal to execute on deals and resolve any contract/customer issues
- Handle escalations and make informed decisions that drive successful outcomes
- Participate in and manage resources for any Sales Operations related projects
- Manage approvals related to any Sales Ops deal attributes or CSAT issues
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and SOX controls for both yourself and your team members
- Understand, challenge, and bring solutions to enhancing current policies/procedures while increasing consistency and efficiency
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior management experience and or training preferred
- 6+ years sales, sales operations, or sales support experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to articulate verbally and written, willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues; ability to think quickly
- Ability to excel in a fast growing/fast paced environment delivering accuracy while managing to deadlines where adaptability is imperative
- Ability to understand broader business and financial issues, juggle multiple projects and tasks, and to work with deadlines and in a fast paced environment
- Salesforce application experience
