Mission Statement:

Strategic technology partners are a cornerstone of our industry strategy, and provide leading edge products and services to solve the market's most challenging business problems. The Lead Partner Technology Strategist provides an expert point of view around the use of the full range of Salesforce technology in a compliant fashion to support these products and services, and acts as a trusted advisor to our partners as they transform the variety of Salesforce partners to better meet the needs of customers. The Lead Technology Strategist coordinates with other technical resources (Solution Engineers and Solution Architects), providing continuity and trusted advice in both pre and post-sale engagement to accelerate deal cycles and ISV solution build-out.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage industry and technical expertise to credibly advise partners in making strategic architectural and platform decisions
  • Evangelize Salesforce solutions as a way to reimagine legacy applications in creating game changing new apps, including coordinating with Solution Engineers (SE) and Technical Architects (TA) to build art of the possible Proof of Concepts, demos, assets.
  • Act in partnership with the account, technical, industry, and product overlay teams to solve our customers' and partners' unique and compelling business challenges and advise them in addressing the technical roadblocks.
  • Be a driver for Technical Excellence across the partner lifecycle, advise on architecture and technology choices, and provide practical approaches to ensure customers and partners can use Salesforce solutions to meet market and regulatory needs.
  • Embed themselves in the partners technology roadmap and products to understand where there is opportunity for us. Coordinate with all supporting resources who touch these accounts (SE, TA, Product, Industries) as the technical lead and offer light training on need-basis on partners technology and direction.
  • Provide product overview of Salesforce Platform and Salesforce technologies to partners. Coordinate internal and external meetings, communicate updates while expanding the reach of the ISV Sales team.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • 6+ years experience in developing technology solutions.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience as a Salesforce Technical architect/lead/admin delivering internal IT projects or external client projects in positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Experience overseeing development and/or project team members. You are not expected to write code in this role but prior hands-on experience and a strong familiarity with Salesforce configuration and coding best practices are required.
  • 3+ years experience in in a technology-facing role in industry (product management, technology delivery, business analysis, consulting, etc)
  • Specializes in gathering and analyzing information and designing comprehensive solutions that are flexible and adaptable to the client's needs.
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter. An ideal candidate would be a go-getter, who does not shy away from rolling up the sleeves to get the job done.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience.
  • Strong presentation skills. Able to effectively present and defend point of view to a variety of audiences.
  • Travel to partner or client site (average of 25%), but may be higher or lower based on needs.
  • Highly beneficial to have experience building/managing Salesforce Center of Excellence.
  • Experience working as Technical Advisor, for/with Product Development Outsourcers (PDOs) or building Appexchange Apps is a plus.
  • Highly beneficial to have Salesforce product certifications prior to joining. It is expected that you will gain the following certifications as part of the role requirement and onboarding process in the first 6 months:
    • Salesforce Certified Administrator (required 6 months into role)
    • Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant
    • Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant
    • Salesforce Platform App Builder
    • AI Associate (required 6 months into role)
    • Data Cloud Consultant (required 6 months into role)
