Job Details and Responsibilities

Salesforce Data Cloud is looking for a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. You'll design and implement cloud-based infrastructure to support Salesforce's global systems, focusing on the next-generation Salesforce Data Cloud platform.

The platform helps companies unify customer data, manage identity and consent, segment and activate audiences, and optimize engagement with insights. You'll work on large-scale services across data ingestion, big data management, storage, processing, analytics, profile graphs, segmentation, and activations. Teams are dev/ops focused, handling everything from development to production and support.

You'll collaborate with product and engineering teams, including Agentforce and AI initiatives, to find infrastructure solutions that speed up software delivery. This includes working with tools like Istio, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and AWS, creating automation, designing data store architectures, and enhancing security.

Required Skills

• A related technical degree required or proven years of experience in DevOps, with a significant portion of that in a cloud engineering role
• 8+ years of design and implementation and architecture experience in large production public cloud infrastructure projects at scale with multiple teams
• Proven experience with AWS and more cloud platforms and their various products GCP/Azure
• Extensive experience with container-based tooling and deployment
• Proven experience with Kubernetes and familiarity with Helm and GitOps
• Proficient in at least one programming language: Go, Python or Java and the ability to read and review others in other programming languages
• Proven experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) implementation from code to production and agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools, such as Jenkins/Spinnaker
• Understanding of networking, SSL, TLS, and HTTP2
• Working knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code technologies
• Deep experience with Linux/Unix systems
• Experience in distributed systems is a must

Desired Characteristics

• Natural curiosity
• Istio and/or other service mesh technologies and solid understanding of networking
• Experience with secrets management, particularly Vault
• Familiarity with DevSecOps or continuous security
• Background with big data technologies, such as Spark/Kafka
• Working knowledge of common data stores
