Salesforce is seeking an experienced IT Portfolio Manager to support our strategic portfolio team through management of our product teams and their large scale/groundbreaking IT programs. This seasoned IT professional will have data analytic experience, as well as experience in planning, operational readiness, organizational structuring and process standardization to develop and help scale our strategic portfolio. In this role, you will work with teams that works closely with the IT Application Development, Product teams, Engineering, Security, Support and other internal groups to manage the operations and reporting of our BT strategic portfolio.

Your Impact

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT programs.
  • Collaborate with IT Application Development, Product teams, Engineering, Security, Support, and other internal groups to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions and strategy.
  • Apply statistical methods to interpret data and generate useful business reports.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Present findings and recommendations to partners in a clear and concise manner.
  • Develop process documentation, standard methodologies, and find opportunities for enabling product teams and large-scale IT programs.
  • Deliver clear critical initiatives, operational changes, change management, and process improvements across diverse and globally dispersed teams.
  • Articulate clear business value, outcomes, and objectives across multiple product domains.
  • Define effective data management processes, structure, roles, and responsibilities to ensure the successful execution and delivery of business objectives and value.
  • Lead business and IT executives in alignment and review sessions, identify critical success factors, highlight value, and drive mitigation of significant issues and risks.
  • Effectively remove blockers and mitigate project risks, enhancing team productivity and ensuring delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of portfolio/program management, data analytics, or operations related experience
  • Experience in a cross-functional ever changing environment.
  • Successfully led or supported transformational programs
  • Ability to drive work independently, identifying solutions, moving them to implementation, and developing long-range strategies
  • Develops, maintains, and strengthens partnerships with others inside and outside the team who provide decision making, information, or support
  • Achieves positive outcomes by identifying common interests, clarifying differences, and achieving consensus or compromise
  • Communicates a clear, vivid, inspiring, and relevant description or picture of project benefits/value to the customer
  • Strategic and tactical abilities to document and analyze metrics and data
  • Ability to identify trends, opportunities, gaps and standard processes across multiple product teams that vary in scope, leadership and capabilities
  • Calculates team velocity, ensures visibility by graphically charting iteration progress, and applies strong facilitation skills, ensuring team is continuously adapting and improving their productivity

  • Well versed with software development and IT Infrastructure practices, including a pertinent technical industry certifications
  • Strong business insight and familiarity with broad range of business processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Product Management experience a plus
  • Prior People Management experience a plus
