Location: Ireland (Other locations considered: UK, Netherlands and Germany)

As the Head of Labor Relations EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining positive labor relations across the region. You will lead a dynamic team focused on fostering governance, enhancing capabilities, and streamlining processes to ensure compliance and promote harmonious working relationships. Your expertise in team management and stakeholder engagement will be critical in driving the success of our labor relations initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:


Develop and implement strategic plans for labor relations across the EMEA region, aligned with the company's overall objectives
Provide leadership and direction to the Labor Relations Centre of Excellence team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence

Continuously evaluate and refine labor relations strategies to adapt to changing regulatory environments, country priorities, industry trends, and business needs

Governance and Compliance:

Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks to ensure compliance with collective labor laws, regulations, and company policies across all EMEA countries of operation
Oversee the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices related to labor relations, fostering a culture of fairness, transparency, and compliance

Capability Building:

Identify skill gaps within the labor relations team and develop training programs to enhance capabilities in areas such as negotiation, conflict resolution, and application of collective labor law
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, providing opportunities for team members to expand their knowledge and expertise in labor relations

Process Optimization:

Streamline labor relations processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging technology and automation where appropriate
Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of labor relations processes and identify areas for improvement

Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, Employee Success (HR) business partners, global teams, legal counsel, and operational teams, to ensure alignment and support for labor relations initiatives
Identify opportunities and provide ongoing coaching to EMEA and Global leadership on labor relations requirements, ways to enhance Social Dialogue and driving adoption and due process
Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including labor unions, works councils, government agencies, and industry associations, fostering constructive dialogue and collaboration
Build and maintain a strong external network including peer organizations and industry specialists

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in labor relations, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of collective labor laws, regulations, and practices across the EMEA region
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex labor relations strategies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to drive change and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
