Role Description

As one of the team's Event Technology Platform Sr. Analysts, you'll be responsible for offering the best service possible to plan, configure, deploy, and measure a set of focused event technology offerings. Whereas other team members are assigned to specific events, you'll work across the portfolio of single-day free events and multi-day paid events to ensure the technology is set up to deliver event success.

Areas of potential tech platform focus may include (but, because we keep innovating, isn't limited to):

  • Meeting programs (e.g., 1-on-1 expert meetings).
  • Peer-to-peer attendee networking.
  • Sales team experience.
  • Employee event staffing.
  • Mobile app experience.
  • AI-generated summaries.

Your Impact

You'll be able to claim success by delighting our event stakeholders when they realize how easy you made it for them to provide the required information so that you (and our vendor partners) were able to seamlessly configure and deploy the technology. Picture yourself doing the following, as these things are the core responsibilities of the job:

Enablement

  • Being an expert in the technology and how it can be applied against the event experience objectives.
  • Enabling stakeholders - from ensuring they know what the tech can and can't do, to helping them understand what will be required of them.
  • Making the complex sound simple and easily understood.

Planning and Intake

  • Working with the Event Technology Operations team members to identify timelines and due dates to achieve technology launch plans.
  • Gathering the required information from event stakeholders to properly configure the technology to meet their expectations.

Configuration

  • Working within and across event tech systems to configure them to match the event needs.
  • Leveraging and improving upon event tech templates.
  • Weighing and clearly articulating the risks to making configuration changes when the pre-event or onsite experience is live.
  • Ensuring downstream systems are receiving complete and accurate information.

Troubleshooting

  • Prioritizing risks and issues to be managed based on their likelihood and impact.
  • Solving problems when they arise as fast as is reasonable.
  • Working with event tech vendor partners to resolve issues.

Continuous Improvement

  • Measuring and helping stakeholders understand the health of the tech offerings within your focus.
  • Using post-event metrics and stakeholder feedback to improve the offering.
  • Working with the Event Technology Administrator to make platform-wide improvements.
  • Providing feedback to Event Technology product managers, agencies, and vendor partners on how to improve operations and/or product offerings.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience configuring event technology platforms (RainFocus preferred).
  • Project management and operations experience for medium projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to differentiate styles and mediums depending on the audience.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while managing a high-volume of event execution responsibilities.
  • Willingness to travel onsite to event locations and team gatherings (up to 10%).
