ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Enterprise Account Executive - Financial Services is responsible for driving sales of Tableau products within major Financial Services organizations, with the goal to exceed sales objectives. This role manages all aspects of the sales process including prospecting, lead management, qualification, product demonstrations, evaluation, closing, and ongoing account care. This is a quota-carrying sales position that plays an integral role in the success of the overall sales team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Define and execute strategic account sales plans tailored to the Financial Services sector.
- Meet and exceed sales goals (quotas) through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, effectively moving multiple transactions simultaneously through the sales process.
- Customer & Account Management:
- Nurture and expand Tableau's relationships within key customer accounts in the Financial Services industry.
- Manage and track all customer and transactional information accurately in a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce.com).
- Sales Process & Resource Coordination:
- Coordinate internal resources (such as product support and sales engineering) effectively throughout the sales cycle.
- Provide compelling initial product demonstrations and general support to prospective customers.
- Market & Product Awareness:
- Stay informed about Financial Services industry trends, the competitive landscape, specific competitive issues, and relevant product developments.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Provide regular and accurate reporting of pipeline status and sales forecasts through the CRM system.
- Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers, and internal support staff.
- Team Contribution:
- Actively participate in team-building and company-growth activities, including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts, and customer care initiatives.
- Travel:
- Travel to customer locations as required to support sales efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of software sales experience, primarily selling into large enterprise customers.
- Proven track record of successfully selling complex software solutions specifically into the Financial Services / Finance sector.
- Demonstrable experience managing and closing large, six-figure software deals.
- Experience with proactive lead generation, including outbound prospecting and qualification.
- Consistent history of overachieving sales quotas and maintaining high levels of sales activity (calls, demos, meetings, etc.).
- Required Skills & Languages:
- Fluency in Korean is mandatory.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce.com experience preferred) and standard business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Desired Attributes:
- Strong understanding of the business challenges, opportunities, and technology landscape within the Financial Services industry.
- Team-oriented mindset with leadership qualities; able to inspire and share best practices.
- Experience selling enterprise-ready SaaS solutions is highly desirable.
- Relentlessly high standards for performance and a detail-oriented approach.
- Self-directed, resourceful, and proactive with a strong work ethic; possesses a "go-getter" attitude.
- Strong desire to bring new Financial Services customers into the Tableau ecosystem and maximize revenue within existing accounts.
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience is preferred.
