We're looking for the best-of-the-best product leaders with a passion for driving new products and product capabilities from initial concept to successful delivery and market adoption. As a leader in the Integration & Automation organization, you will drive major strategic initiatives in the MuleSoft Runtime Platform & Services space, from beginning to end, as well as identify and drive opportunities for collaboration and integration across the Salesforce ecosystem. We are looking for a product manager with deep individual-contributor track record.

The ideal candidate will be able to ramp up quickly and become familiar with every aspect of the MuleSoft Runtime Platform & Services portfolio, including Runtime Engine, Runtime PaaS services, offered for both external commercial customers (monetized) and internal product teams across Integration & Automation, and more. You will identify opportunities to take those areas to the next level and drive a product strategy to match. You will function as a primary subject matter expert on any MuleSoft Platform offerings in engaging external Customers, Sales, Account, Distribution, Marketing, Engineering, Support, and multiple other functions. You will have a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, cloud and hybrid platforms, from strategy to functional capabilities and represent MuleSoft as a domain and product expert in executive councils, strategic customer meetings, and major events.

Responsibilities

  • Understand our business and the problems we are trying to solve, deeply, when it comes to our MuleSoft Runtime Platforms and Services offerings.
  • Be a deep expert in your product area and target market, understanding and communicating the competitive landscape and the problems experienced by the target personas.
  • Build and own the vision, strategy, roadmap and outcomes for MuleSoft Platforms & Services offerings, then use your extensive influencing and communication skills to share and align your strategy across the greater PM team and overall product strategy.
  • Present your product strategy to executive leadership, influencing the future of our products.
  • Engage with relevant teams across the Salesforce ecosystem to find opportunities for synergies and efficiencies and drive the vision and roadmap for a unified experience.
  • Maximize our market impact by delivering great solutions with clear positioning and enablement material for our field organizations in collaboration with our GTM teams.
  • Work with your peer engineering leaders to achieve high performance teams that balance innovation, performance, and reliability.
  • Establish relationships with account teams and customers, including customer leadership, to understand customer needs, promote the product, and drive adoption, participating in sales cycles, if needed, and handling sensitive customer issues as they arise.
  • Expected travel about 25% of the time.

Experience/Skills Required

We are looking to hire a seasoned product lead at the Director (Independent Contributor) level with the below key required skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management with demonstrated progressive growth in PM career at enterprise software technology companies. Prior to being a PM, having years of experience in Engineering or Tech Consulting or equivalent roles is a plus.
  • Strong experience in envisioning, building, and delivering software platforms/products to enterprise customers, and being involved in driving GTM strategy, pricing, adoption, usage, and EOL through the product lifecycle.
  • Strong vision, roadmapping, and execution abilities to build runtime platforms/services products of value and easy-to-use by enterprise customers encompassing state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS or other cloud vendor PaaS services, and cloud native technologies such as containerization.
  • Expertise in designing and delivering secure, highly available, scalable and cost-efficient cloud platforms / services
  • Leadership presence, with abilities to influence and build trust with executive stakeholders/sponsors and enterprise customers
  • Demonstrated experience successfully working with and influencing teams of PMs, engineers, architects, security, UX, sales/distribution, customer success, support, marketing, etc.
  • Top notch written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership, and evangelizing product vision, strategy, and roadmap to sponsors and enterprise customers
  • Knowledge in MuleSoft or equivalent Integration and API management products and markets is highly beneficial but not require

Experience/Skills Desired

  • Deep understanding and knowledge of cloud platform & PaaS services ecosystem, life cycle management of products, especially in the context of commercial offerings.
  • Experience working in and delivering products or services in an agile/lean environment.
