About the Role:

As a DevOps Analyst, you will plan, validate, and execute release strategies that maximize value for our clients. You will collaborate closely with developers, QA analysts, business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to ensure smooth, efficient releases. This role will require strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as the ability to define multiple release paths while carefully considering all variables to ensure successful and timely deployments.

What We're Looking For:

- 1 to 3 Years of Experience: Proven experience in a Technical Consultant or DevOps Consultant role, with involvement in release management.

- Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to think critically and creatively to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, define root causes, and propose innovative solutions.

- Focus on Efficiency: We value efficient solutions, regardless of complexity. Delivering the right solution at the right time is key, with a focus on generating value for our customers.

- Salesforce Knowledge (a Plus): Familiarity with Salesforce is an advantage, but we are open to teaching you if you bring the passion to learn!

Key Abilities for This Role:

- Deep understanding of Git, including various Git Branching Models (Git Flow, GitHub Flow, Trunk-Based Development) and the principles behind each.
- Experience with Salesforce deployment processes, including the Metadata API, Org Development Model, Package-Based Development Model.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Sandbox Types and the Refresh Process.
- Strong grasp of test practices and general release management steps.
- Ability to navigate and adapt deployment strategies to ensure smooth, reliable releases.
- Base understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript is a plus.
- Base understanding of Shell Script is a plus.
- Base understanding of Docker is a plus.
- Base understanding of GitHub Actions and similar pipeline tooling is also a plus.

Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).

- Develop and Execute Release Plans: Create, execute, and maintain release plans for new and existing features, ensuring a timely and smooth release process.

- Enhance Developer Experience: Ensure that release pipelines are set up to provide the simplest and most efficient experience, enabling developers to focus on feature development with seamless releases to clients.

- Drive Continuous Improvement: As a key owner of the release process, actively monitor, measure, and analyze the development process, identifying bottlenecks and other opportunities as well as implementing enhancements for continuous improvement.

- Learn and Grow: Take advantage of learning opportunities to grow your skills, including gaining deeper Salesforce knowledge.
