As a Business Development Senior Manager, you will focus on developing and structuring high-impact strategic deals that expand the reach of Slack's platform and deepen Salesforce's position across AI and data ecosystems. This is an individual contributor role ideal for a self-starter who thrives in early-stage deal environments, sees around corners, and loves shaping new product and GTM opportunities.

Your Impact

Platform integrations across Agentforce and Slack

  • Source and close strategic partnerships that extend Agentforce and Slack's platforms through industry-leading integrations, third-party-focused connectors, workflows, and data connectivity.
  • Identify whitespace where platform gaps exist, and craft partner-driven solutions to address them-leading everything from deal structure to internal alignment.
  • Activate and help scale Agentforce within Slack by identifying ecosystem partners that can enhance intelligent agent workflows and in-context AI capabilities.
  • Champion creative business models that unlock value for Slack customers while ensuring mutual success for partners.

Structure AI & Data-Centric Deals

  • Evaluate and execute deals with partners across the AI and data stack-including LLM providers, analytics platforms, vector databases, and infrastructure enablers.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and legal teams to ensure partner solutions are technically feasible, secure, and aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Co-develop new monetization or distribution models tailored for embedded AI and data integrations within Slack or broader Salesforce products.

Strategic Deal Execution

  • Own the full partnership lifecycle: from market opportunity analysis and initial outreach through to negotiation, contracting, and GTM readiness.
  • Navigate ambiguity, prioritize thoughtfully, and move quickly to structure first-of-kind deals.
  • Ensure partner engagements are scalable and built for long-term success-but your focus is on building new, not managing existing.

Cross-Functional Influence

  • Partner with key internal stakeholders across Slack product, Einstein AI, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, AppExchange, and GTM teams to align on roadmap gaps and ecosystem leverage points.
  • Act as a thought leader across the company on what's happening in the Slack and AI partner landscape.
  • Contribute to strategy sessions, internal readouts, and investment cases with insight and clarity.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, corporate development, or platform strategy-ideally in SaaS, AI, data, or cloud ecosystems.
  • Proven experience leading complex deal cycles and building new business models (e.g., rev shares, embedded experiences, ecosystem monetization).
  • Understanding of the Slack platform-including APIs, workflows, agents, automation-and its ecosystem potential.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, data analytics platforms, or cloud data architecture.
  • Strong commercial instincts combined with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including business case development and partner storytelling.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience building integrations or strategic deals in a platform or developer ecosystem environment.
  • Knowledge of workplace productivity software, sales/service automation tools, or collaboration products.
  • Entrepreneurial, comfortable with ambiguity, and skilled at navigating from zero to one.
  • Operates with urgency, structure, and high accountability.
