Trust Intelligence platform (TIP) is the Autonomous Security Posture Management system (ASPM) to discover, analyze, and act on high-value security signals aggregated on a converged data cloud. With AI-powered intelligent detections, insights and autonomous actions, we proactively identify security gaps and protect customers from security threats to uplift our security posture. We implement guard rails, agentic systems for safeguards and continuously supervise our risk posture for threats, compliance across the enterprise and salesforce products.

TIP's Security Log Platform plays a crucial role in supporting the USPM vision through its log collection, transformation and search capabilities. To support this important mission we're looking for someone who is intrigued by sophisticated distributed systems, their inner workings, optimization possibilities, and methods to ensure that our platform can support proactive and reactive security uplift through shared signal aggregation and on-demand ingestion of security signals at an enterprise scale. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with various Salesforce engineering and security teams and bring in architectural alignment to improve availability, cost to serve, and quality of the platform.

Your Impact:

  • Drive strategic technology initiatives, working with Product Managers, other Architects, Engineers, SME's, and the broader Salesforce organization
  • Building a self-healing, autonomous platform that meets the real-time cybersecurity needs and enables Salesforce to continuously reduce security and compliance risk
  • Coordinates and drives the end-to-end architecture of the platform
  • Crafts overall architectural principles, frameworks, and standards
  • Creates solutions that are enterprise-scalable and maintainable
  • Works in a collaborative manner to improve communication, teamwork, and alignment among teams inside and outside of the organization
  • Provides input into long-range planning requirements, standard methodologies, and operational guidelines, with a focus on continuous improvement of platform reliability and serviceability
  • Drives research, case studies, and prototypes on innovative technologies and how they can be used
  • Ensures that we are continuously raising our standard of engineering excellence
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation to address complex problems in real time and keep services operational and highly available

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • Extensive experience building large-scale distributed systems using cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
  • Experience building an enterprise-grade SIEM platform that supports various log formats and device types used for Incident management and GRC use cases
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, Python)
  • Ability to provide (informal) mentorship to team members to support their understanding of the architecture and aid in their technical development
  • Ability to work with other architects and principal engineers to craft the architectural vision and roadmap for the products
  • Develops technical performance architecture that solves most complex performance issues

Preferred Skills:

  • Shown experience building services with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Big Data platforms such as Apache Spark, EMR, EKS, Flink
  • Expertize with relational and NoSQL databases, message queues (Kafka, SNS/SQS, etc), and other components in data pipelines
  • Knowledge building services with Terraform, Helm, Ansible, and Spinnaker
  • Strong fundamentals knowledge in security concepts: authentication/authorization frameworks (e.g., SSO, SAML, Oauth), secure transport (e.g., SSL, TLS), identity management (e.g., certificates, PKI)
  • Understanding of industry standard risk, governance and compliance methodologies
  • Consistent track record in developing AI / ML based solutions to bring in greater operational efficiency in solving security usecases ( Compliance monitoring, UEBA, Anomaly detection ..etc)

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $125,700 to $306,600.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $137,100 to $334,600.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
