Position Description
Job Summary
The Senior Development Engineer at Saint-Gobain Research North America (SGRNA) will lead the R&D development efforts for CertainTeed platform projects. Collaborating with cross-functional R&D team members, customers, suppliers, external partners, and other stakeholders, the Senior Development Engineer will develop the next generation of product solutions.
Qualified candidates must be experienced in planning and execution of innovative product solution development, leading prototype development through pilot production. Demonstrated ability to lead development projects and deliver on budget, timeline, design specification, and quality is required.

- Develop engineering designs, build and test prototypes, develop technical specifications, conduct production trials, identify and manage all technical risks using Saint-Gobain's innovation stage gate processes
- Work with R&D, CertainTeed business, and external collaborators to develop and launch differentiated and sustainable industrial solutions for Saint-Gobain's North American construction materials business.
- Identify/Develop processing and equipment technologies for industrializing new/improved product solutions
- Identify IP potentials, draft and submit IP documents
Required Qualifications
- BS with 7+ years experience, Masters with 3+ years experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
- Experience in R&D new product and process development, stage gate, prototype to pilot development and industrialization
- Knowledgeable in Construction Materials, Building Science preferred
