What's the job?

Responsible for all safety, environmental and health, production, maintenance, shipping, receiving, engineering, human resources, quality, purchases, customer service, production planning, security and general office functions.

The Plant Manager is responsible to assure the plant is efficient, profitable, and produces quality products now and in the future. The position is also responsible for the preparation of the plant budgets, long range planning, and for establishing and maintaining a safe, clean facility with positive employee relationships.

  • Provides guidance and direction to direct reports and other staff employees.
  • Develops and plans managerial and job skills improvements for direct reports and other staff.
  • Key leadership role in overall safety efforts and improvement plans.
  • Responsible for capital and strategic planning.
  • Budget preparation
  • Provides guidance and leadership to improve the efficiency, productivity, and cost savings in all processes.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to improve the quality for products produced.
  • Key leadership role in employee relations.

Required Qualifications

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor of Science Degree, with a strong emphasis in business, finance, and engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years actual hands-on experience in a key leadership role in a similar manufacturing, mineral processing, or mining environment.
  • Must be able to succeed in challenging situations that require immediate decision making abilities and the ability to excel under strict time constraints and stress levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal positively and effectively with a wide variety of people and position levels both within and outside the organization.
  • Must be computer literate and have knowledge of the Six Sigma process.
