The goal of the Master Scheduler is to strategize, drive and close the loop on customer forecast and inventory levels.

Focus is to maximize cash flow by predicting accurate sales and services levels through an effective implementation of SIOP (sales/inventory/operations planning) process. Maintains a constant relationship with the sales, customer service, finance, purchasing and manufacturing teams to understand the demand forecasting drivers.

The employee will be expected to do the following:

  • Challenge the forecasts form the sales teams and the usual runs with relevant data analysis.
  • Improve the forecasts accuracy with transversal coordination actions and updates of the Supply Chain Planning tool.
  • Responsible for running, analyzing and reviewing reports pertaining to forecast accuracy and advising planners when shortfalls arise from forecasts.
  • Create, implement, and manage an SIOP program involving all parties along with communication and leading monthly and quarterly meetings.

Required Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain or other related field, Required
  • 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment in a planning, master scheduling and production scheduling capacity, Required
  • Understanding of JIT, Time Based Manufacturing, BOM's, routings and planning parameters, Required
  • Understanding how SIOP works and able to implement, Required
  • Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Excel and familiarity with MRP/ERP software systems, Required
  • Excellent analytical skills, combined with good oral and written communication skills, Required
  • Excellent organization, planning and follow up skills, Required
  • Ability to download, analyze and manipulate large amounts of data, Required
