Position Description
Job Summary
In this position, employees will be responsible for the working in the rail car loading operation which includes operating a forklift, handling inventory, working in & around semi-trailers, rail cars, understanding the safe movement of traffic in & out of the rail car loading area, and the securing of rail cars for loading. Hours: 3pm - 11pm Primary Functions:• Understand Pedestrian & Mobile Equipment safety in the work area• General housecleaning of the work area• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner• Understand Plant & Distribution Safety Rules• Able to understand and apply all safety procedures• Understand and follow all SOPs related to the Distribution Trailer Loading operations• Understand all Plant emergency situations & procedures• Complete Employee Safety Orientation & all safety training programs• Report all safety incidents to Team or Group Leaders• Proper use of necessary PPE required in the Plant work areas• Ability to operate safely a powered industrial vehicle (forklift)• Proper transport and stacking of board in a safe and productive manner• Proper loading of board onto flatbed & cabana trailers.• Ensuring risers are removed from all bays when empty• Operation of propane powered forklifts to load, unload, transport and stack materials • Completion of pre -shift / walk around inspections of forklifts • Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as cleaning, lubricating, fueling or replacing propane tanks.• Proper placement of risers on board units in the warehouse• Complete inventory security in the loading process• Understand safety procedures on semi-trucks & trailers.• Complete as instructed all other job assignments that are issued by Distribution Team Leader• Ability to work OT as needed for the business.

Required Qualifications
Previous Industrial Powered Vehicle experience a plus.• Warehouse and shipping experience a plus.• Ability to handle (lift, push, pull) up to 50lbs.• High school education or equivalent• Strong communication skills
