Sabra is looking for a skilled machine operator to drive improvements on our packaging floor running our casepacker and labels. This position is on our Night Shift 7:00pm - 7:00am. WorkKeys testing is required for this position. Current hourly rate is $23.89 with $1 night shift differential.

Dip into This Role
- Establishes the proper operating parameters for equipment by checking or entering settings on the HMI computer monitor or by manually turning switches, dials, levers or knobs.
- Manually loads labels, corrugate, and glue into equipment.
- Manually performs changeover of equipment
- Manually records production, equipment test, and quality assurance data on forms.
- Visually checks the interior and exterior surfaces of equipment to verify cleanliness after manual and COP tank cleaning and sanitation processes are complete.
- Must be able to work in cold or hot environments, stand for long periods of time, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Participates in pass-down meetings or informal shift change meetings by communicating or obtaining information about the status of work, recipes to run, the cleaning process, and equipment or other issues.
- Assist with peer-to-peer training, SOP, and SSOP.
- Plans when to start/stop production to hit shift goals and calculates the number of raw materials needed to attain shift goals.
- Adhere to attendance standards
- Adhere to all Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements
- Work in a safe manner, report all accidents and incidents immediately, follow all safety rules and regulations according to company and governmental standards and attend safety meetings and training
- Perform general housekeeping duties - Keep work area clean/dispose of waste
- Interact with all team members with courtesy and professionalism
- Participate in company improvement projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirement and Physical Demands
- High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
- Passing WorkKeys score required (Testing available onsite)
- Ability to walk, bend, and stand for 12 hours in steel-toed boots
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds
- Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust
