The Training Manager, Performance & Governance team will contribute to the development, maintenance, measurement, and optimization of the RWE Clean Energy, LLC (RWECE) HSSE Management System, and the software platforms, community page(s), etc. in which it is integrated.
This role will routinely involve the design, development, revision, and continuous enhancement of HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental) training policy(s), programs, curriculum, courses, competency verification checklists, etc., in accordance with internal requirements, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

The individual in this role must possess demonstrable knowledge, skills, experience, discernment, and interpersonal abilities directly related to [1] the North American legal environment, [2] HSSE related Training, [3] Adult Learning / Instructional Design, and [4] Learning Management Systems (LMS).
The individual in this role must be capable of designing a comprehensive HSSE training regimen for all personnel, and facilitating compliance to it via the development and administration of training curriculum, courses, etc. internally (i.e., via LMS). They must also be fully capable of qualifying reputable external training vendors and managing vendor-issued HSSE training for RWECE personnel as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify internal (i.e., policy) and external (i.e., legal) HSSE related Training requirements for the organization
- Facilitate the delivery of HSSE-related Training courses to the organization via the LMS, other internal processes, external vendors, etc.
- Create and continuously improve HSSE related Training documentation (e.g., policies, programs, procedures, process maps, forms, checklists, curriculum, courses, etc.) in various software tools and applications
- Perform HSSE Management System Representative duties for the Performance & Governance team that relate to HSSE Training
- Design and administer HSSE-related training qualification criteria for Training Vendors
- Qualify and coordinate the activities of HSSE Training vendors
- Routinely collaborate with inter-departmental personnel to anticipate, monitor, measure, respond, and learn from risks, identify organizational weaknesses, and capitalize on improvement opportunities using various methodologies and interdisciplinary skills
- Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Performance & Governance based on the requirements and evolving needs of the business
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), Environmental Protection Health & Safety (EHS), or a closely related field of study
- Adult Education / Instructional Design experience
- Training Administration experience
- Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Protection experience
- Project Management experience
- Design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Management Systems (e.g., ISO, ANSI)
- Design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Minimum of 8 years in the field of Adult Education / Instructional Design or a closely related field
- Minimum of 8 years in North American energy, manufacturing, military, or similar field
- Microsoft 365, Visio, Excel, Tableau, and PowerBI
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 (i.e., Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong experience with Tableau, PowerBI, and Azure
- Demonstrated competency in the HSSE management discipline, particularly with administrative law, 'IBR' standards, and consensus standards related to HSSE
- Implementation and management of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Demonstrated competency in Project Management
- Skills in preparing and presenting concise and accurate information to executive leadership, internal and external customers, stakeholders, etc., across the organization
- Mathematical/statistical knowledge and affinity to work with numbers/statistics regularly
- Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
- Independent problem-solving skills and ability to influence stakeholders to gain a desired result
- Strong initiative and self-confidence to find solutions and solve problems independently
- Reliable and systematic manner of working, customer orientation, resilience with being able to manage multiple stakeholder expectations centrally
- Detail-oriented and consistently striving for high-quality results
- Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively via technology, as well as in-person at various locations across the North American regions
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- This position is an office-based role that involves some travel and visits to other RWECE offices and field locations
- Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York is $108,000- $140,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
