London Array Windfarm is in a phase of continuous improvement, the Performance Engineer will support the Production and Engineering Team with reporting, measuring, and assessing the various areas of improvements on the Windfarm. Working with the internal turbine performance team to assess and develop projects for turbine performance, efficiency gains, Lean projects and process optimisation.
About the role
- Work closely with the Production, Logistics & Engineering team to identify and deliver improvement projects
- Work with internal support teams to provide accurate data to enable a stream of projects to be developed across the windfarm including OFTO assets, ensuring that projects are correctly prioritized
- Oversee the internal reporting processes (Monthly and Quarterly) and Communicate project progress to internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and expand on a continuous improvement culture with training others to have suitable skills in this area
- Manage projects including Safety, Environmental, financial, contracts, contractor management and risk and Maintain robust documentation of their workstreams and any resulting decisions with supporting evidence
- For innovation management: develop integration of innovation workstreams, coordinate feasibility assessments, business case inputs, and documentation as required to deliver adoption decisions and deliver the maximum value into projects
- You will need to remain well-informed of technological innovations and practices through regular contact with other teams, projects, departments, industry and academic experts, working with other sites to understand and share best practices
- Provide operational insights into the design delivery process, ensuring known risk factors are communicated and considered as part of the development of new projects
- Undertake repeat and adhoc analysis inline with site needs, automating processes where possible
- Support the completion of Insurance Claims and investigations

Knowledge and skills required
- Preferably with a degree from an accredited university or significant experience in relevant background (Civil, Mechanical, Ocean, Electrical, Naval, business.)
- Ideally you will have Data Analyst experience and Continuous improvement training / qualification
- Experience in Offshore Wind, Onshore Wind, Offshore Oil and Gas, or other large complex projects
- Preferably or working towards Licensed Professional Engineer, or relevant experiences developing design and owners engineering teams
- A comprehensive understanding of the competitive offshore wind market
- Good organizational skills and experience of project management and a Team player with advanced interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to innovate and challenge the status quo with a continuous-improvement mindset
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally and perform relevant offshore safety trainings and "go" offshore for certain activities
- Experience creating and working with BI tools such as PowerBi and Tableau
- Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and Key skills: SQL, python or other coding knowledge (or willing to learn and develop these skills)
