The Manager, HSSE Assurance will own the RWECE HSSE Assurance and Development Programs across the RWECE High Risk contractors base. The role will work cross-functionally with contractors, Procurement, and Operations teams to establish tools and processess for contractor selection, assurance, performance and development. This role will ensure sourced contractors meet our expectations, are effectively onboarded, that their performance is monitored on key metrics, and that they contribute to RWE Clean Energy's efforts toward being a preeminent player in the renewable energy industry and a client of choice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and develop RWECE Strategy for Contractor HSSE assurance and development
  • Develop a deep working relationship and collaborate with legal teams, business units, procurement teams and operational H&S teams
  • Improve upon prequalification, requalification, and evaluation processes, providing performance data through sustainable systems that support our continuous improvement strategy
  • Establish supplier onboarding processess that walk contractors through RWECE's HSSE management system expectations regarding competence, maturity, planning, support, operational controls, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and deploy associated systems, tools, and dashboards to manage HSSE Contractor Performance across the RWECE Procurement organizations
  • Establish tools and reporting for Procurement teams in order to equip them with HSSE data for contractor business review sessions
  • Serve as an HSSE Program liaison for contractor outreach, communications, and the management of performance improvement plans as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 8 years of supplier quality management, compliance program management, IMS auditing, Continuous Improvements Methodogies, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Suppliers, Contractors, Engineering, Procurement, and/or Supply Chain Groups in a Corporate environment
  • Experience in developing and managing Supplier Management Software such as SAP, Areba, Avetta, ISNetWorld, etc.
  • Certification or equivalent experience with Quality Management Systems and 8D/CAPA Methodologies
  • Preferably certified internal Auditor according to ISO 9001, 45001 and/or ISO 14001or interest to obtain this education
  • Detail-oriented, with sustainable practices; striving for high quality and accurate results (e.g. in document management and statistics)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
  • Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office, and our Contractor headquarter and field locations. The employee must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
