The Energy Scheduler is part of RWE Clean Energy's Energy Scheduling Operations team is responsible for scheduling transactions for RWECE generation and storage portfolio. TheEnergy Scheduling Operationsteam exercises the RWECE mission to ensure the operation of the asset is in accordance with NERC and regional compliance standards (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO, SPP, CAISO).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn and perform power scheduling transactions for North American (NA) wind farm resource portfolio in applicable nodal markets - including but not limited to ISO schedules, contractual obligations, bilateral transactions, outage schedules, and availability notifications in compliance with ISO market rules and RWE procedures
- Introductory training on RWE energy scheduling tools.
- Introductory training on fundamentals of North American energy markets (e.g. DA / RT and bilateral entry timelines)
- Must be able to communicate and work well within a large team.
- Position will include rotating shift work to cover nights, weekends, and holidays as required by management.
- Adherence to the company's values and behaviors as defined by RWE Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline. Applicable work experience in lieu of degree will be accepted
- Minimum 2 years in power/commodity markets with proven ability to achieve daily and assigned tasks
- Capacity and Power market scheduling experience in the North American ISOs preferred
- Preferred experience in CAISO markets
- Promote safety for all at all times
- Must be able to manage work with minimum supervision, take ownership of tasks, and drive solutions
- Must be able to balance between internal technical constraints, resource requirement,s and external uncertainties surrounding new market rules and new generation sources
- Ability to interact with different functional groups and external counterparties
- Must be a team player
- Motivation to seek solutions to known challenges and improvements to existing procedures
