The Associate, Business Development role for theDevelopment East team will play a crucial role in enhancing the region's growth and market competitiveness. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, this position focuses on expanding the pipeline through thorough research, a proactive M&A strategy, and strong relationship building. The associate's contributions will be pivotal in driving the team's success and securing a competitive advantage in the market.

  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external consultants to monitor market conditions and help formulate development strategy for the region across different technologies (wind, BESS and PV)
  • Work collaboratively to develop project business rationale, strategic market analysis, and competitive assessments tailored to relevant markets
  • Assist in executing strategies related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and project origination through proactive market research.
  • Contribute to the development of tools that facilitate these strategies
  • Improve tracking methodologies for KPIs and enhance reporting processes to ensure effective performance analysis
  • Continuously monitor and improve Salesforce tools to maintain data consistency.
  • Foster improved communication within the development department and across the organization
  • Assist other segments of the M&A and business strategy teams with various ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and prepare necessary materials to secure management approvals for transactions and project advancements

Qualificatons:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field such as business, finance or environmental studies
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a role with emphasis on consulting, data anlytics or energy project development / M&A (required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
  • Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $69,000 - $100,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
