Position Overview:
The Transport & Installation Engineer will be responsible for the development and coordination of logistic and installation concepts according to schedule during planning and construction until operation. Area;s of focus would be collection fo requirements, definition of scope, planning of time schedule and cost estimation. This role would also support the project specific risk and quality planning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the technical definition, evaluation, planning, reporting and interfacing of the transport and installation activities including load in/out operations at manufacturers/marshalling port(s), transportation and installation of components, including handover(s), all in compliance with industry and company standards, and Health, Safety and Environment regulations and guidelines.
- Installation Engineering - Confirming method statements, risk assessments, lift plans, safety procedures, permits to work and related documents for all loading, transportation and offshore work is in place
Tasks to be performed:
- HSE performance through design and implementation to eliminate or reduce risks during construction, operation and maintenance
- Evaluation of potential ports as port for storage and load out of foundations
- Prepare and execute relevant documents for the installation ITT Technical evaluation of Transportation and Installation proposals during tender stage
- Support of the Contract manager in the preparation of variation orders and claims
- Follow up the preparation for execution activities and required interfaces, and support on technical aspects of the transportation and installation.
- Coordinate within the project of assignment, as well as across-projects (with similar roles in other projects) to ensure delivery as per objectives and company standards (including but not limited to).
- Review method statements and risk assessments and produce comments sheets.
- Perform or oversee engineering calculations
- Advise on the contract technical requirements,
- Write the technical specifications,
- Assess the technical aspects of tenders
- Assist the Engineering Manager with tasks associated with ensuring a safe design and give advice to risk and programme reviews
- Provide input to the risk and programme analysis.
- Respond to technical queries or interface with other packages/Contractors to resolve queries
Qualifications
- 5+ years direct experience supporting offshore Wind projects
- Significant and in-depth experience in Project Management of offshore foundations in either the Offshore Wind Energy industry or Oil & Gas
- Engineering background with strong knowledge in marine transportation and installation incl. selection of the right tools
- Potential areas of work: transportation and installation of monopiles (impact hammer, drill), noise mitigation, noise monitoring; installation of transition pieces and/or secondary steel structures; installation of subsea cables; installation of wind turbines
