As a Waste Management Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring environmental compliance and operational efficiency within our facility. Your responsibilities include meticulous monitoring and upkeep of collection points and storage areas, adhering strictly to local, NDEE, and EPA regulations. Daily, you'll document tracking systems, oversee proper disposal of process-generated waste, and manage hazardous materials with precision, from pumping to storage and eventual shipment. Collaborating closely with vendors, you'll facilitate the removal of metals, oils, and other hazardous substances. Utilizing tools like L2L, you'll develop and refine operating procedures, maintain equipment, and support various inspections and projects. With a keen eye for detail and commitment to safety, you'll maintain our workplace to 5S standards, handle a range of hand tools, and perform essential tasks such as coolant changes and chemical inventory management. Your dedication ensures not only regulatory compliance but also contributes to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations.

Our manufactured components are used primarily in Integrated Drive Generators (IDG) and Ram Air Turbines (RAT). RAT's are used for aircraft emergency power generation; our RAT's have been used to save aircrafts and over 2,600 lives.
What You Will Do
- Conducting duties as Waste Water Treatment Operator, processing industrial waste water.
- Monitor and maintain collection points and storage areas to ensure compliance to Local, NDEE and EPA regulations.
- Daily documentation of tracking systems where required.
- Dispose of all process generated waste as required.
- Assist with inspections, SPCC, SWPP, 5S, etc.
- Meet all expectations for CORE in oversight areas.
- Maintains work area to 5S requirements.
- Use a variety of hand tools.
- Read and interpret quality standards, and other informational drawings and work instructions.
- Completes required Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities at required intervals.
- Follow proper material handling.
- Perform waste management tasks as required.
- Monitor chemical inventories and restock locations in the plant.
- Understands the uses of chemicals in treating water and/or other systems
- Understands chemical reactions and safety requirements. Knows EPA requirements for storing, dumping, handling, and/or reporting of chemicals.
- Identify and report process inefficiencies, machine issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals.
- Training required in RCRA, D.O.T., HazWoper, lock out/tag out, Hazardous Energy, confined space, forklift, scissor & boom lifts.
- Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- Must be able to stand for 2-hour increments without an opportunity to sit with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a High School diploma or GED and 1 year or relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer
- Have a certification in waste water operator.
- Experience with basic hand tools.
- Experience with basic computer skills using multiple applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications).
- Experience with math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals
- Experience reading, interpreting, and following blueprints.
