Plan and perform a variety of duties such as monitoring waste system performance. Collect and process waste chemicals, contaminated rinse, process waters, and other materials for disposal in accordance with State, Federal, and Environmental Health Safety requirements along with company policies and directives. Practice and comply with environmental, health and safety directions and procedures.

What You Will Do:
- Perform duties associated with regulated waste such as labeling, rinsing, sampling, inspecting, packaging, transporting, manifesting, handling and recordkeeping.
- Set-up and operate treatment equipment, sample process waste to determine pollution levels. Inspect waste containers, tanks, and other equipment in accordance with written and verbal instructions.
- Repair, replace, rebuild or install such items as plumbing fittings, pipe solenoid valves and pumps.
- Maintain and clean a variety of equipment such as evaporative treatment systems, transfer stations, monitoring probes, filters and tanks. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and maintain records.
- Take prompt action in emergencies and notify supervision. Respond to hazardous material spills and maintain hazardous material training certification.
- Follow established procedures and operating manuals. Could require some judgment to adjust work methods to suit unusual situations with available equipment.
- Transport hazardous materials from offsite facilities. Operate power industrial truck to transport hazardous materials and load various transportation vehicles within the facility.
- Compile hazardous waste and other chemical dispensing data into computer data base.
- Instruct one or two fellow employees in the proper performance of duties.
- Improve process and solve problems in cooperation with fellow employees and technical support groups.
- Keep equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
- Perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function.
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
- Training Schedule: May be on 1st Shift until management deems the employee is able to work independently and unsupervised. At this time, the employee will move to 2nd shift. We anticipate the training to be 2-3 months.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- At least 1 years related experience
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- 3 years previous experience working as a waste treatment technician or related
- Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Environmental Engineering, or related field of study
- Arithmetic and basic chemistry knowledge
- Industrial or Municipal Wastewater Treatment License/ coursework in handling or waste material.
- Knowledge of computer functions and skills.

The salary range for this role $34.20 - $42.97 per hour; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
